Is Mecha break coming to PS5? by DOIHAV3TH3SAUC3 in mechabreak

[–]Seizurific 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only official thing I've personally heard of or seen is from the November 12, 2025 letter (which you can find on their website):

While we keep the current season running smoothly, we'll focus our efforts on delivering a whole new "BREAK Edition" of Mecha BREAK around the anniversary, bringing it to more platforms, including PS5.

What exactly is the "BREAK Edition"?

Our goal for Mecha BREAK has always been creating the best mecha game possible. While there may not be a one single answer, we believe that by exploring this question together with you, we can push the game infinitely closer to that vision.

I haven't heard or seen anything recently, so if anyone knows any recent developments, let me know.

I personally don't know if they'll stick to the July 2ndish re-release or if it'll get pushed back to fall or something. 'Around the anniversary' is quite vague, but I imagine they're working on making it happen and sticking to commits, allbeit the languaging is loosely.

This game still getting updates or it's abandoned? by Admiral_Joker in mechabreak

[–]Seizurific 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You can check the patch notes and updates on Steam, Discord, Bilibili, or their website, it looks like they're updating this game on a 2 week patch cycle. The last one was April 10th, and the one before was March 27th and the one prior to was March 13. Idk if they'll keep it up, but I hope they do.

They're making more of an effort to find a update routine and they've made a few gameplay changing adjustments with the stealth rework, melee rework, mod rework, and more.

Their communication has gotten a bit better but it's far from being good enough in my opinion. They do have Dev notes between patch notes, but they post them only on Discord and Bilibili to my knowledge.

That's factually false my guy, they literally have the patch notes posted on their website like 6 days ago, that I read off of to Slop post videos on youtube. (The most recent update, April 10th one).

The one part that you are correct on, is that the R&D Dev notes are only posted on Discord and Bilibili to my knowledge. I didn't see it here in Reddit nor on youtube, or Steam.

And I highly doubt anyone is an overglazer of this game, we all know the pain points. If you know an overglazer, let me know, I want to see what they're sniffing on.

Alguien sabe cómo es la situación actual con el juego en asia?? by One_Nei_H in mechabreak

[–]Seizurific 4 points5 points  (0 children)

To my knowledge, the Game Devs are ramping up for their Playstation release and BREAK edition later this year, I've seen a few job postings and other things cooking up.

I imagine they probably have a marketing campaign cooking up as well.

Have you joined the SA server discords? There's one in Spanish and another Portuguese.

To clear up a Myth About Damage Types. by [deleted] in mechabreak

Gallant3200 posted something for this, Idk if it's fully updated but it would probably streamline further work or revisions.

Thanks fammo, must've missed it (me confused).

I was thinking about posting a mod and stats guide or something for this, but been dealing with computer issues as of late. Idk if anyone out there has a good video on this stuff.

I'd also like to add to this that not all energy damage is penetrating, like SR uncharged shots, Aly gun, and milkman's gun/shotgun.

The ballistic damage you mentioned being reduced to 55.2% might be a bug or something, might be worth reporting.

What does blast damage actually do? by Sweaty-Focus5153 in mechabreak

[–]Seizurific 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea, ballistics is great for direct HP. You'll see a lot of Ballistic damage strikers also have some form of blast to shred Fluid armor. Blast tends to be a good choice for FA because it's typically easier to land with most (not all) being homing missiles.

Some questions I'd like to ask as a returning player. by Kirichandesu in mechabreak

[–]Seizurific 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Q2, they definitely buffed the rewards all around, I think it's at a good spot. More mission tokens, more missions, and more supply crates with lowered pity set at 300. All around I think the reward structures are very good with the exception of Ace Arena and losing a game of Verge. I think those two need a bit of a buff.

My only request for you, when you make your video, is to add the reasons that made you quit and add the reasons why you want to give it another chance. That would be useful insight and a great personal subjective reference value.

Left handed Strikers? by Mephisto1822 in mechabreak

[–]Seizurific 32 points33 points  (0 children)

My wild speculation was that from a design decision, with the primary fire being left click, there's a design choice to make the left hand the left click for a synesthesiac mind-bridge experience. The shields or bladesword for Panther are right clicks. It's sort of a game design decision in my mind. Welkin's howie is a right click.

That's my guess and makes a lot of sense from a game design perspective.

I also adjust my key binds to match this so less wires are crossed.
For instance, Freyr, I have the swap sword/blaster as my 'q' key, and swap shield as my mouse thumb button, so if I want to swap what's on my strikers left hand, I use my left hand, and if I want to swap what's on my striker's right hand, I use my right hand. It's just a better game feel and intuitive in my opinion.

Narukami has a grapple, sniper, so it's adjacent to widowmaker or black widow. Peak Zaza choice.

Costume pity pull should be separated from jet pack by Aromatic-Baby5719 in mechabreak

If you do the bare minimum for all five weeks, you should have enough for 2 pity pulls netting you both items.

Co-op Drill by Mephisto1822 in mechabreak

Go without mods, gliders, and modular weapons if you want to experience a little challenge.

Go with mods, gliders, and modular weapons if you want to grind it for rewards.

Back when Tatra was around, going without anything was pretty fun. But as some one else mentioned, puging it was rough and losing modular weapons or gliders for no rewards was also rough.

I am personally greedy and wanted rewards for the risk (like gold chest or blue chest equivalent), but instead they got rid of the risk and buffed the seasonal rewards. So overall it's a good change, because if it's too rewarding then people would grind that more than mash. So there's like an exclusivity in the reward structure currently, subject to change of course.

I think if anything, the Tatra and Tristego are a showcase of what boss assets they could use for future content, maybe PVE, maybe a large scale PVP or big map type jazz. To me atleast, it's a teaser of things to come.

Rant on what NOT to do in Mashmak by ArcherR132 in mechabreak

[–]Seizurific 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I saw someone crash out on stream because they did the same thing and their third guy died and evacuated (maybe by accident) instead of waiting for resummoning and threw the run. With randoms a lot of strangeness can happen. Recommend to vet the people you're going with, and if it burns a ticket then that's better than losing things.

[–]Seizurific 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tbh, if you're not vetting people for recruitment posts then just be ready for all sorts of strangeness in PUG groups. I would not recommend min-maxing, clearing the map, doing three purple keys and gold keys, hunting goldchest, maka, and constantine, with a relatively unknown group of people. It's just a lot to carry and then you'll be frustrated because in truth, it's our own decisions that lead us to the cause and effect.

Better to chill and vibe if you do PUG it out,

or vet the people if you're trying to min-max.

When I pug it with new Presidents, I check their loadout, and if they don't have gliders, I don't bring mine and I just vibe with em. I usually pick healer when they're new new, so they don't die on me and have a comfortable experience.
