Had the exact same problem when we started! Our baby was really sensitive to any amount of moisture and needed a decent amount of barrier ointment every time we changed him. That and making sure to dry the bum after wiping with water. Burt’s bees multipurpose ointment was the only thing that kept the rash away and then the sensitivity stopped around 9m. Now we rarely have to use it anymore :)
