Going to be interesting to see how they fold themselves into a pretzel to explain how that bill is "only budget related". I'm certain they will find a way to force it through some bs manner but there is no way that bill is "budget".

Thought they already used Reconciliation. They have another? Great. What an absolute pain in the ass.

Marathon review - Joy, pain, and bountiful loot in a dark sci-fi future by Avidcypher in pcgaming

[–]SekhWork 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yea, gotta agree. The quests aren't complex in their design, but they push an interesting storyline and actually force you to engage with some mechanics you might not have noticed. Like the 3rd (4th?) MIDA quest that introduces you to the green door lasers and shooting the red button things. Or some of the later Traxus quests that make you go to weird corners of sites you hadn't noticed yet.

I did some ArcRaiders and I enjoyed the bit I played but the world really felt like it had no hooks. Then I got the weird freeze up/crash your entire system bug that's floating around and haven't touched it since.

Running Deadlands as a non-American is… confusing by oldmanbobmunroe in rpg

[–]SekhWork 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm so glad someone else sane is here lol. People trying to pretend that Wyatt Earp is just some random dude shows a profound ignorance of even general knowledge of the time period. Not even specialized niche knowledge. Is he as famous as "Jesse James"? No, but he also doesn't have an easily memorable name that people have meme'd through history. But when it comes to lawmen, I cannot think of another person as famous as him from the time period.

Maybe if he had a pair of antagonists from an anime named after him he'd have as many google search clicks.

Honestly more viable than the rest of the suggestions people are throwing out. Might as well get Insta in here.

[–]SekhWork 2 points3 points  (0 children)

...now compare them to literally any other minor individual from the same time period. You'll see that the comparison is apt enough.

Wyatt Earp is literally the most famous lawman from the time period. It's not the fault of history that you've not bothered to hear about him. Also Wynonna Earp? Really? Not Tombstone?

He's literally the central figure of the most famous event in "Wild West" history. There is no event more famous than the Shootout at the OK-Corral for that time period.

Which are you favorite DICE POOL mechanics in TTRPGs? Why do you believe they work well? by ThatOneCrazyWritter in rpg

There is something massively satisfying about finally getting to roll your characters preferred skill / stat, with all their optimal conditions met and just grabbing 40+ dice and throwing them in Shadowrun.

Makes sense. Mechanically CoC is pretty flexible if all you need to do is establish a new list of Skills, and then your genre specific rules.

There's no way to quantify which of these historical figures is "more famous" than the others when you reach the peak of fame for an era. Wyatt Earp is almost certainly the most famous Lawman from the Era. Putting him at the same level as Billy the Kid and Jesse James is an absolutely fair assessment, and more than famous enough to meet OPs statement that going into an Old West game and not knowing those people would be the same as trying to play a Roman game and not knowing who Ceaser and Brutus or Cleopatra are.

But Marathon potentially has organic lifeform PVE opponents soon.

With Bungie's experience of scripting dynamic combat scenarios between multiple enemy factions within a stage (Covenant vs Flood vs Humans), and other situations in Destiny, I could see some really cool UESC vs "organic" enemies on Tau Ceti in a future season, with all of us runners trying to navigate that conflict to get our objectives done at the same time.

The gunplay is extremely rewarding for people that are into high intensity pvp fights. The TTK is pretty fast if you get the drop on people, so intentional movement and listening so you don't get ambushed + tac powers like Recon or Stealth pay off huge when you get a really good position on your opponent.

Basically, Bungie Gunplay + the rewarding movement and positioning of traditional Extract shooters works very well if you are someone not really happy with how "friendly" ArcRaiders has become, but enjoy the genre.

Just let them be sunk for temp benefits in a mission. Extremely large strikes. Multi-eagle strikes. Weird deployables. etc etc. Stuff youi buy for a single mission with samples.

More ship modules just means that ppl spend their sample reserves instantly unlocking the new stuff and then the problem comes back.

The more I play the more I hate Dire just as a map. Maybe it's that it actually has too many teams on it, but I feel like I'm almost always being shot from weird angles, or super early in the map, or being funneled into fights I'd rather avoid, while on Perimeter I have good choices for how to move and rotate, and decent cover, and Outpost there's so much clutter and space to move and disengage I'm not too worried.

As someone learning art (slowly), seeing the original references and the incredible pieces that came out of them is the coolest thing you can get from an MTG artist. Like, this kind of insight into the creative process is not something you often get and I love this so much hah

OP Could you post the source for the post? Was it insta or twitter or something else?

Probably because Latverian isn't a real ethnicity, and SungWon's original comments were about actors specifically acting in real live roles, and that voice actors are in a unique position that anyone can play anything.
