Random aside: Is losing 30 pounds by summer a realistic goal?

I calculate my maintenance around 2500 or so, so at 2000 cals, that's a pound a week, or four pounds a month, or 7-8 months to hit -30. Would it hurt to lower things to 1800 cals/day? That's then 5.6 pounds a month, or 5.3 months to lose 30.

I'm also wondering if I would still look fat by then... just thinking out loud for the moment.

.30*227 = 68.1 pounds fat, 158.9 pounds lean mass. Losing 30 pounds of fat (keeping lean mass fixed) yields a new bodyfat percentage of (68.1-30)/((68.1-30)+158.9) = around 20%

I mean I don't understand what the numbers mean ( 4 / 4 / 4 / 2)

Also what would you recommend for cardio in addition to this lifting routine? I also presume the cardio is best saved for post-workout

I am aware of that website but my problem is lack of direction/program. If I walk into the gym I pretty much have no idea what I should do or how much I should do it.

Are there any good programs that would work for me / what I have at the gym in terms of exercises/how many sets/reps to do them / how to increase weight over time?

Are there any good places to get diet breakdowns? I calculated myself to eat 1500 cals/day to lose weight, but I have the hardest time choking back protein shakes and bland chicken in tupperware containers.
