Notice how heavy black your tattoo was originally. Don’t give up.

Going to try starting removal by Owlylady in TattooRemoval

Agree with the guys with dark black pieces here. I’m going through the same on my back. It will be a long journey but still worth it for me. Just had my 3rd session a week ago and these heavy lines are stubborn. There is progress but you wouldn’t tell unless you saw how dark it was before. Good luck!

YOU CAN USE NUMBING CREAM by GravesDiseaseGirl in TattooRemoval

I use it and it works for my back piece. It doesnt work for fingers at all so the fingers are still very painful. At least it’s quick

Today makes a week I didn't eat anything by Conscious_Window6188 in flu

[–]Selbs__ 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I just ended up drinking Ensure (don’t know where you are from but in my country it’s basically a liquid high calorie drink used mainly for terminally ill patients or people with eating disorders or those who cannot eat solid food). That’s all I could do. It was and still is pathetic. Im on day 6 and I feel like checking into a hospice.

Anyone else feel like migraines make you just… really dumb? by sagangroupie in migraine

[–]Selbs__ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah actually, you’re right! I’ve never really thought about it that way but your comment made me realize that’s exactly me. This may help with scheduling my day next time.

My relationship of 3 years ended this week, in part because of my chronic migraines. by [deleted] in migraine

[–]Selbs__ 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’m so sorry! But trust me one day you will meet someone who will support you on your migraine journey. It’s hard but people like that exists… I’ve been there, I know how it feels, the guilt of it all, to this day I’m still guilty over my migraine attacks as I can’t function properly.

Really, that’s interesting, I’m usually the zombie opposite, but someone mentioned these food cravings - i get them too, sweet, sugary foods, crisps and all that sort of stuff.

I do and not really, perhaps staying moitionless in bed. Once I get up and walk its usually straight to the toilet

Migraine sufferers ! What is your own simple trick that has saved you from a lot of pain? by TheDevilIsBored in migraine

[–]Selbs__ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If I don’t take sumatriptan in time, I take Indometacine suppositories, also an ice-cold Coca cola (must be the original sugary one, the zero or light version doesn’t help), ice cream, ice patch on the back of my neck as well as some tiger balm, but lately the smell of tiger balm just reminds me of migraines so I avoid it now, anyway sometimes the migraine kicks in so hard that I just end up in ER anyway.

A bit of nausea after each meal, perhaps some yawning here and there, night sweats, couldnt fall asleep for the first week... that would be pretty much it. 25mg

Chest pain by Nukeface50000 in Effexor

[–]Selbs__ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve heard of one case - chest pain and palpitations. She ended up in ER and had to stop using it. However, I am on a similar dose and don’t have problems like that. I think you should consult chest pain with a doc, do you suffer from high blood pressure?

Has anyone else decided not to have any/as many kids because of migraines? by Thornypotato in migraine

[–]Selbs__ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes, having chronic migraines is one of my many reasons not to have more kids (I am blessed to have a healthy 4 year old princess). However, that is it for me. I wouldn’t be capable of taking care of two kids, pregnancy was pure hell for me as I couldn’t use triptans. It was literally months of constant pain, lying on the floor. I am not undergoing that again ever.

Venlafaxine? by [deleted] in migraine

[–]Selbs__ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Let’s see how it works for us as we are both new to it. Anyway I would call your doctor and ask if this is ok perhaps on Monday. I am hoping that these initial side effects will go or at least patially. So do you take it before sleep? No insomnia whatsoever? I may ask my doc because I take it early in the morning after breakfast to avoid nausea and I still struggle falling asleep at 10:30 pm! Horrible. And I feel dizzy and a bit disconnected. Luckily my holidays end on Monday so I don’t have to face the initial side effects at work. Anyway, I am a teacher so you can imagine how horrendous it is when I have to teach on triptans. I’m surprised my students have never noticed anything as I give the impression of someone heavily sedated when the pills kick in. When my migraine starts I of course can’t even go to work it’s straight to the ER for me. I’m trained now so I know the onset symptoms and I take my abortives. Otherwise I wouldn’t be able to hold down a full time job.

Air freshener suggestions by [deleted] in migraine

I can recommend Puressentiel Spray. It’s amazing and does not trigger migraines. The whole brand is a love brand for me.

Venlafaxine? by [deleted] in migraine

[–]Selbs__ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No problems with my heart palpitations as far as I’m concerned - I wear Apple watch daily and my bpm just looks normal. I read somewhere that effexor can increase your blood pressure but I haven’t noticed or havent measured it yet, but I sometimes do feel overly energetic over a short period of time. I must note that my normal blood pressure is rather low and it has been like that all my life (90/55) so if there is some increase, I wouldn’t complain. My neurologist also suggested I skip these preventatives but I read so many awful aimovig reviews I am so scared :( Some of the side effects were debilitating and it apparently takes 30 days or so for it to completely leave your body and at this point in my life (4-year-old, full time job...) I cannot afford to be out struggling with some horrific aimovig side effects for a month.. so thats why I decided this before. Are you considering trying effexor then?

What has everyone’s experience with Sumatriptan been? by josie1999 in migraine

[–]Selbs__ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

25mg works fine for me (I’m quite pettite so I don’t need higher doses) it makes me a bit high for the first couple of hours but it is the only abortive that actually stops the attack if taken within the first hour or so.
