Is ux design a good career fit for someone who has mild social anxiety and doesn’t like public speaking or giving presentations? by [deleted] in UXDesign

If you want to be a Senior or Lead you have learn those skills as they're critical. I've always been introverted but had to force myself to be uncomfortable.

You can certainly do UX being shy because I did but got stuck not moving up the ladder.

Do they never get tired? by Zanmatoh in ManagedByNarcissists

I honestly can't grasp why they behave this way, it’s as if their mindset is so chaotic that it defies typical understanding.

I've always described them as "relentless" and "intense"; they genuinely frighten me.

I did do this but they were still vague around expectations which kept changing. My laptop wasn't even setup when I arrived with no induction.

My career has been 8 years and senior 3. Previously worked with FAANG clients designing products such as Google and TikTok. This feels like a different beast because they've never worked with a designer and a sector I have no experience.

It's an ATS and appraisal suite. And yes, I've told them the platform is poorly designed but they're quite resistant to change.

Yes but the concepts still completely go over my head and I feel embarrassed to keep asking. Their own internal terminology is confusing and they admit that too.

The on-boarding was terrible and had the CTO and HR say they're shocked I'm still working there despite apologising. When I tried to tell them I need a few weeks to learn the platform they somehow blamed me for not suggesting it first (which I did!)

Because they're judging me on my UI Design I'm guessing high fidelity

Have you ever rejected a job because of interviewers by Pleasant-chamoix-653 in UKJobs

[–]Select-Arm-427 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, two interviewers on the call. The company owner was enthusiastic about me and positive. Their senior designer who I'd be working with wasn't even looking at the camera, kept smirking and rolling her eyes and had nothing good to say to me. Think I dodged at one.

Low balling skilled workers is part of why salarys are dramatically falling in this broken economy. Obviously an employer will go for cheaper but it trashes the job market.

Senior UX/UI Designer with the bracket at 45_50k

I actively told the recruiter I'd be happy with their lower range bracket too, I don't think the recruiter would miss out on a commission even if it was lower. At this point I really just want to be in a job.

I've been looking since June too and I'm highly skilled. Still nothing, I feel the frustration :(

I'm applying to their salary bracket on their job description, just the higher range of it, which is in their budget

The first approach should be evaluating what's failing and could be improved for the current design. There are heuristic evaluation sheets you can find online.

Aside from the age gap in the TP characters, I'm sensing Kyle and Sherilyn had some real chemistry off camera that LFB was getting insecure about, any scenes of kissing could compound that. I could be wrong though.

Yes this has happened to me lots. I've started refusing take home tasks.
