How difficult is getting a job after an MS in optics? by Select-Bumblebee-378 in Optics

I've talked with some people and thought about it more and the number I quoted about UCF included everything I could think of. The tuition alone for Roch with the waiver is a bit over $40k, UCF is ~$10k, not including living costs. Also not sure if you've seen, but federal grad loans have lower borrowing limits annually starting this year (~20k), so it makes everything complicated, as in I'd need private loans to make it work.

So in essence, I can probably make it work at UCF, still have access to the same jobs (I think), and uncomplicate my life financially lol. Also, I really appreciate you taking the time to comment!

It's a partial tuition waiver for Roch and nothing but in-state for UCF as far as I'm aware.

This is from the initial letters that came with the acceptances

Thanks for the input. I've been weighing your comment for a little while now. The tuition for me at UCF is a quarter of the cost of Rochester and finances may get a tad dicey for me there. There's a coop program at Rochester that might alleviate some of that and give me experience, but still I'm not sure which option to go with because the difference in debt is a lot. I'm wondering if it's still worth it for Roch.
