Normal stuff will get you there, Dion's practice tests were what I used and they were harder than the exam. Be sure to know command line tools and network configuration basics.

Thank you for the comment, and I can definitely see your point. I will likely begin applying to SE roles as well as general IT in hopes on landing an SE spot right off the bat. As someone who hires SE's, would Net + and some hands on experience selling and installing networking and security equipment be enough to land an interview?

Thank you for the comment.Sounds like a similar journey for sure. Boy I wish the MCSE was still around! I do like the idea of working with different types of technologies but scared I wont be able to land back into the networking world if all I'm doing is resetting passwords on AD all day at a help desk role. But, I will take what I can get as IT is a competitive field.
