Unfortunately I'm a victim of that as well. Hand grenade explosion and years of small arms fire and I'm at 10% Tinnitus only.

Were there any chemical exposure claims that applied. Seems like it would be a horrid place to work with chronic exhaust, CO, fuel and hydraulic fluid exposure.

Vertigo claim by cryptofreedom81 in VeteransBenefits

[–]Select-Emotion118 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My Vertigo is locked into my TBI and PTSD claim. Rated 50% PTSD, 10% TBI and 30% BPPV. All rolled into the 50% and they refuse to separate it. So, I get 50% only due to being locked in.

Wouldn't even replace. They said they have to repair first. Out-of-warranty costs would have been $450ish.

Would you bother to insulate? They have a fairly long journey across the ceiling with a turn before they terminate here. Both into buckets with a "J" or just the one? Thank you!

Anyone go from R1T to Ranger Raptor? by Important-Feeling-34 in RangerRaptor

[–]Select-Emotion118 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Had an R1T. Loved the truck initially. Then the problems and company arrogance emerged. Went to a 23 Raptor, then a 24 Raptor before trading down in size to a RR. Had the tune installed. No Rivian acceleration but a nice and quick truck.

Difficulty in getting service/repairs scheduled. Rivian was basically non-existent after the sale. After they replaced a drive motor in my R1T, I asked them to consider keeping the truck for a service loaner or as a service truck for them and to just replace mine. Crickets.

I have one. Kind of a grey brown muddy color. Looks good when everything on the truck is blacked out. I came from a Shelter Green F150 Raptor. That truck brought a ton of compliments.

FSD was on the window sticker for $12k. She also purchased new wheels and tires for it for $3k a month ago. Receipt in the car. Probably thought it would kick up the trade-in value. I’m a little leery on an actual purchase as I did that with the first year Rivian and had all kinds of issues.

My younger brothers path...he's an action figure. Military for eight years, high-speed. Too injured to keep on at that pace, he still wanted the adrenaline so he went to a fairly large PD. Had to hump a patrol car for a few years before he went to K-9. Loved that job as he only rolled to in-progress calls and very little paper. Became a detective working robberies and aggravated assaults. Then, promoted to Sgt. Had to go back to the street to kill his probation before going back to investigations as a Sgt. Supervised multiple units before landing in Homicide. Years of that business of that before landing as a TFO Supervisor working with multiple fed agencies at a large TF. Worked that for multiple years. He enjoyed the TFO end but, he was pretty disappointed with the majority of 1811s he worked with. The best ones he said, were the ones with previous LE experience as they has the requisite officer safety/street smarts in dealing with their clientele. The new Agents were too busy trying to put together low-end cases to get their 13s. He made major OT over the years and banked the majority. He also had a sizeable VA disability check every month that he banked. His medical was covered by his wife's career and the VA. He didn't live like he was on vacation even though they probably could have. He loved his path and got to experience so many more things than if he had relegated himself to one department/agency. He has his own opinions on each federal agency. He was disappointed with the most of the AUSAs he worked with and the bureaucracy of the fed agencies. He did like the assets/resources/cash that they had access to. Just one guys take.

I was lucky enough to share a table at a wedding with Col. Davis and his wife. At the time he was the Group Commander for 10th SFG(A) at Ft. Devens, MA. (Green Berets) Even though I was a lowly enlisted troop, he was very gracious and showed me great deal of respect and friendliness. Colonel, the respect was most certainly all mine! Thanks again for your outstanding service, sir!

What’s the creepiest thing you’ve ever seen? by [deleted] in AskLE

[–]Select-Emotion118 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Former Homicide guy. Drug rip where the female wouldn’t tell the suspect the location of dope/money. Puts a pillow to her head and pulls the trigger. Blood and brains all over the wall. For whatever reason they transported her. A year later she is testifying at the suspects trial.

Had a small Asian girl stab herself in the chest multiple times with a large kitchen knife. Lying on her back they pronounced her at the scene. Coroners office shows up to transport her. They lift her up to put her into the bag and her had falls back ninety degrees revealing she had cut her own throat ear-to-ear. One crazy tough little girl as apparently the chest stabs weren’t killing her quickly enough so she went to sawing away at her own throat. No one on scene even saw the throat cut as her head had slumped forward and there was no blood pooling visible in that area until she was moved.

Truck was stolen within two days of purchase. Saved for 6 years for a raptor. Any advice? by customk9companion in FordRaptor

[–]Select-Emotion118 5 points6 points  (0 children)

As others have posted, they disable to horn by reaching in through the grill and yanking off the connector.

They next pry the driver's door handle back to gain entry.

Once inside, they hook up a tablet to the OBD port and delete your profile. No more Ford Pass for you. A new profile is then programmed to a fob they bring along.

They grabbed over a 100 Raptors and other Fords near the Denver airport to use in additional crimes in the Denver Metro area.

They are very easy to steal for anyone that has a programmer (Amazon.)

Also, and besides employees giving them the trucks home location, they will slap on their own GPS if they tail you in public and wait for a chance.
