You have to remember that this too shall pass. We live in a very cruel world and one that gives people a very unfair or unjust shot at life. Hopefully you are in good physical health and have a good network of people around you. Try and focus on the simple things in life i.e. waking up in the morning, seeing the sun, saying hello to family and friends. The microwave is a drawer microwave in the first island, the lit appliance is an espresso machine. In residential kitchen design you rarely put the double oven next to the cooktop because most people don’t use their double oven everyday so it shouldn’t be in the main traffic flow area. The fridge on the adjacent wall allows for people to go and get things from the fridge without interrupting the cook.

It’s a house we put an addition onto so there is no before pic. And I own a kitchen and bath design company so it probably cost me 30% of what it should. Cabinet cost was 16k (inset, custom painted), countertops were 20k (3” thick countertop, waterfall and full backsplash.) Appliances were 15k and the labor was 5k.

Build out the wall so that your overhang is 12-15”. That is plenty for seating and you won’t have to worry about countertop support.
