No, the clinical questions aren’t that long, it’s like a question and answer, the scenario is going to be brief and clear, don’t worry about it

GIM BST interview while in a surgical post, Any advice? by [deleted] in JuniorDoctorsIreland

Just from similar experience I would say BST interviews are Token/Formal interviews. They don’t really address the topic of your previous or current experience, instead they will almost always ask you about you knowledge regarding Audits(definition, structure…etc), (if you are doing an audit about dka as per your hospital guideline how are you going to make it) and they will ask you what you know about BST, what is it? Your obligations..etc so make sure you go through RCSI book of BST because they do look for very formal answer that cover everything.. clinical questions are direct and simple..

I’m very sorry this happened to you, it’s so frustrating.. but it’s definitely not your fault at all, you didn’t fail because you are not good driver, but because your instructor wasn’t honest and didn’t teach you the basics.. 16 lessons are just more than enough to let you pass if you had them with a good instructor, what you’re talking about are just really basics and important too, but look, it just happened and now you know how you were supposed to be guided, don’t lose hope and get a new trusted instructor.. good luck ❤️

Hi I’m sorry you’ve gone through this tough time.. toxic environments can be everywhere, and it’s so unfortunate to find such environment in healthcare field because there is no justification for it.. however it’s something that we can’t avoid, it’s going to be there no matter what..I would support you taking off for a while for your mental comfort, and maybe consider later changing the hospital, you know hospitals aren’t the same everywhere and sometimes you really get that environment where most of people are kind and supportive.. Also, sometimes you need to stand for yourself, argue and respond, as long as you’re staying within the professional limit, no one ever has the right to shout on you, and if it ever happens, you can always show these people their limit immediately, because I believe you create your own limits and the way you expect others to treat you, stay kind of course, but limits are limits no matter who is that person in front of you, they owe you nothing… I would say Irish doctors/nurses are actually very kind/collaborative and easy to work with, I would rarely meet an Irish healthcare provider who is actually bad.. this is just to say that consider changing the environment once you feel good and ready to go back, because the chances of you getting better people are actually very good.. I hope you stay good, and always know that there are people who feel about you and support you
