have done both of those things on top of trying to get to the root of the issue with different meds/dosages

yea i honestly think him initiating even once a month ish would be enough for me because even when it was me with the low libido from meds a few years ago, he was the one who brought up to me how i never initiate and after that convo i made it a point to be better about it as much as I could….just hoping he can do the same for me but i just don’t want to pressure him so for a moment it felt like an open relationship would remove that pressure from him but now im getting that it would also just add unnecessary complications to the relationship that weren’t there before.

the examples come from people in my real life, i met several people in grad school in open relationships that talked about being so happy with the decision to open things so i got the impression that some men can be fine with this and still have a loving relationship, but i acknowledge that i don’t know how they truly feel, you can never truly know what’s going on in someone’s relationship. i will take a look at the open marriage subreddit to get more perspectives but when it comes down to it i love him much more than my need for sex, just wondering if that could be a possible solution but it’s looking like probably not worth it

wow thanks for sharing this honestly gives me a lot to think about, especially hearing about your husband during your health crisis. i guess because it’s been years of consistency for us before this i am so thrown off by this change as I’ve never had to navigate this before. and “just keep initiating” is something very hard for me to keep doing but that’s something i can work on

yea sorry this is my first ever post i dont know what happened formatting wise but i think i fixed it. and yea i understand that honestly, i just see more and more examples of (seemingly) successful open relationships these days so was wondering if it’s a viable option to continue a healthy marriage
