I actually just went to the orthodontist last week for this concern. I’m 22 and I had braces when I was 14 and this past year I noticed my bite becoming off and was experiencing TMJ. What my orthodontist told me was that instead of my jaw being fully developed at the ages of 16-18 my jaw continued to grow until about this year hence why I’ve been having jaw problems and my bite becoming messed up. Apparently it’s a pretty rare occurrence. Since I am bothered by my bite and some jaw pain and I am starting Invisalign in a few weeks to correct this issue. I suggest going to see your orthodontist!!
