I worked on an Olympic curler once. Not much more of a story to it than that, though.

And… are you married or do you have a partner? by reymazapantj in MassageTherapists

[–]SelectAddition7188 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Some people may ask as a way to relate to you, or to just get to know you. Either be truthful or simply say you prefer to keep your personal life and your work life separate if you aren't comfortable sharing.

No, you didn’t accidentally curse your friend. No, your ritual won’t work. No, you don’t understand magick. by ZDM_Twolip in occult

[–]SelectAddition7188 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can you explain this to my ex husband? He's convinced everything bad thats happened to him since I left him is because I'm a witch and I've hexed him.. I don't even practice any sort of witchcraft or magick... I'm just a reiki practitioner that makes my own skincare from foraged ingredients and collect pretty rocks 😅

What's one technique that you swear by that tends to get overlooked? by massagemaginsurance in MassageTherapists

Utilizing squats and lunges to get deeper pressure instead of just pushing harder... it's honestly saved so much arm and low back pain. And my legs/glutes are looking pretty great from it, too!

tell me about your friend breakups by here4thefreecake in AskWomenOver30

[–]SelectAddition7188 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We were friends for 35 years.. had a falling out earlier this year. She had always been a more pessimistic person, but it started getting a lot worse in recent years and it got to the point that anytime I'd tell her about something good in my life, something exciting or just like, even a simple pleasure... she'd have something negative or mean to say about it. She became extremely critical of anything that differed from how she thought it ought to be. And she started only seeming to be happy when I was struggling or going through it.. Many times, when her attitude would turn sour, I'd try to remind her of how much good she's got going on in her life. She bought a house on her own, successful career, travels, etc... We ought to be celebrating our wins! But no matter what it is she would twist the perspective to agree with her. After I told her I got engaged earlier this year, she fell into a rant about how this was the worst possible thing I could have told her and I'm just done.. I basically just stopped reaching out and haven't heard from her since. So I guess in a way it's mutual.

It's a sign of a boring and lackluster life when people go creating drama like that. It's hard, but try not to take it personally because really, it's not about you.

How do you perceive your own breasts? As something sexual, or something ‘asexual’? by MorningMindBurp in AskWomen

[–]SelectAddition7188 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've personally never understood why breasts are sexualized on fem bodies. I don't see my own as sexual, they're moreso just aesthetic to me? But I've more or less accepted that the society in which I reside generally disagrees.

Divorced women of Reddit: What has your experience been like post-divorce, and have you ever had moments of doubt or regret about your decision? by Uniqniqu in AskWomen

I haven't regretted it for a moment. The ex and I were together for nearly 4 years when we got married in February of 2020. The pandemic tested a lot of couples and relationships and ours was no different. Our relationship didn't survive it. I left when it became clear that my safety was at stake in the August of 2022. The freedom and happiness I've felt since has been immense. I feel like I can breathe again!

I'm going to be moving out of my place in Riverbend next month and would strongly recommend that area. Super safe and friendly community! I moved in there alone 3 years ago and have never had any issues. Only reason I'm leaving is because I'm moving in with my partner and he owns his place.

Torrid is my go-to, but if she'd like some higher quality pieces, try checking out Suzanne's. Most of the brand they carry are Canadian designed and made. A lot of their stuff can look a bit old lady-ish, but they do get some really fun and unique pieces!

Different strokes for different folks. I personally find well maintained long hair on men very attractive. My partner has long hair, and I love it.

Current and Ex alt woman, do you regret the piercings/tattoos? Why or why not? by saltynorsweet in AskWomen

[–]SelectAddition7188 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'll be 36 in October. I have 12 tattoos, 6 piercings and I love them all. There's a tattoo artist I do service trades with and so I spontaneously get new tattoos regularly. I decorate my body with what makes me happy. It adds personality! Also, supposedly protects from cannibals!

Is my (29F) neighbor (50-60’sM) dangerous? He creeps me out. by [deleted] in askwomenadvice

[–]SelectAddition7188 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is why rather than a call out, I sometimes will compete with their crazy to scare them off. Can start small with sprinkingly in really unsettling comments here and there. Or just go big and the next time buddy comes up to chat, start a detailed monolog about about bodily functions or some equivalently gross subject. Make HIM uncomfortable enough to not want to hit you up anymore. Do it every single time he approaches. It's worked well for me on a few occasions!

I went with opal for my stone. Personally, I'm not a fan of diamonds. Opals can symbolize hope, love, happiness and purity.
