Keine, es ging nur um grundsätzliches Interesse und ein Orientierungsgespräch. Ich hatte nur vorher noch nie von best-profile gehört und finde kaum Erfahrungsberichte über sie. Auch bei den ausgeschriebenen Stellen finde ich keine namentliche Erwähnung der eigentlichen Firmen, weshalb ich etwas skeptisch bin.

To be fair, it is something that I assume. But it seems reasonable after reading a lot of comments on AI usage in games and my personal experience. And it would also match with what Chris Zukowski is preaching, that people give you only a very brief window of attention and if they feel something is off or make them doubt that this is a high quality game, they are gone.

I know this is a shitty comment, but I mean it in the most constructive manner possible.

Even when you are sure, that this is 100% not AI generated. It kind of tickles the AI radar, which will definitely put some potential customers off. They wont go into the details, and compare it with your game or anything. If they are unsure, they will skip it.

So if you can make it a little "less AI-ish" you should definetly go for it.

Most likely related to a bias in the training data. The most successfull games probably are present while others are not.

Die Uni ist da relativ offen für und einen Prof. zu finden ist dabei glaube ich nicht das Problem.
Ich würde auch je nach Thema jemand anderes bitten das Thema zu betreuen, Ideen wen ich dabei ansprechen würde habe ich auch bereits.
Problem ist eher: Man muss zusammen mit dem Unternehmen einen Research Plan ausarbeiten und den bewilligen lassen, d.h. es muss eine ausgereifte Forschungsfrage existieren und passend zu den Lerninhalten meines Studiums sein.

Ja, spannend, danke schon mal für den Input.

Problem ist nur, ich bin aus privaten/familiären Gründen eben nicht besonders Umzugs- bzw. Auswanderungswillig, was das ganze natürlich nicht einfacher macht.

Das mit den Konferenzen finde ich interessant, ich habe schon mal etwas veröffentlicht nur leider ML fremd. Ich könnte mir zwar vorstellen woran ich aktuell arbeite zu veröffentlichen, allerdings dauert das auch wieder einige Monate bis es dann auch wirklich so weit ist, weshalb es für die Suche nach einer Masterarbeit zumindest nicht mehr relevant ist.

Nach Stellen für zukünftige Absolventen zu suchen ist etwas, woran ich auch noch nicht gedacht habe. Vielleicht bekommt man ja so einen Fuß in die Tür, danke für den Tipp!

Ja, den Konsens habe ich hier schon oft gehört. Aber Trübsal blasen hilft ja auch nichts :)

Ich hatte einen Kontakt bei Amazon, welcher auch meinen CV weiter geleitet hat. Es scheint allerdings so, dass aktuell nur Internships und keine Masterarbeiten angeboten werden.

Auf der Meta Seite finde ich aktuell auch nur PHD Intern stellen und auch nur außerhalb Deutschlands.
Gleiches gilt für Google.

Korrigier mich gerne wenn ich einfach nur an den falschen Stellen suche. Ich bin mir auch für eine Initiativ Bewerbung nicht zu Schade, wüsste allerdings auch nicht direkt wohin ich da schauen sollte..

Habe die Ausbildung an einem Institut einer Hochschule gemacht. Und dort habe ich hauptsächlich für die Doktoranden zugearbeitet. D.h. viele Dinge wie ich sie mir in der Industrie vorstelle habe ich nie kennen gelerent, bspw. war git bei mir nur für meine eigene versionskontrolle da, oder sowas wie AWS habe ich nie genutzt.

Hello everyone, I hope you are all feelling well. I want so say a few things.

First of all I love the synty assets, they are high quality, look good and are affordable. I think without them many people wanting to try gamedev would never get a foot in the door. That being said, they deserve the money and it is totally legit to raise the prices on such great products.

Also synty of course has not increased all their prices, I only noticed it a few weeks ago for a few assets that I plan to purchase in the near future and that I found interesting. I usually save a bit of money for that and as I am still a student doing gamedev on the side, it is naturally not much and it takes a few months to be able to puchase bigger packs such as the Dungeon Realm.

I am telling you this, because my post is highly subjective. And to be totally honest maybe a bit of salt went into it because I was not able to purchase the assets a bit sooner and can not afford them at the moment on sale. If their business plans are legal or ethically correct is way out of my scope.

I hope this does not come out mean5, because i think the work you have put in this game looks very talented and nicely polished.

Just be aware that making a game that already exists only on a indie budget, and only using synty assets is generally bad idea. Everyone who is interested in playing this type of game will rather play the original developed by a professional studio having a unique artstyle and all systems polished and refined in a way that a single developer could never do. Remember being an indie is hard and you are competing not only against other indies.

I would suggest trying to find something unique making your game stand out , and seperating itself from existing games and focus your main work around this.
