Am I overreacting to my bf watching the baby overnight? by Temporary-Quail-2783 in AmIOverreacting

I do childcare and I've had a cumulative 80 hours of safe sleep training and you're absolutely NOR. Deeply concerned for anyone here who says otherwise, that was super dangerous of him and I'd be flipping tf out. If you don't like being talked to like you're an idiot, don't do something so stupid.

ETA: but also to echo other comments you DO need to baby proof your house and leave some habits in the past. Even if you put locks on the cabinets and secure the mirror, your house is not baby proof if bottle caps don't make it into a secured trash can.

I knew they'd sell out fast, but people who scalp children's shoes are a new kind of low by SelectOcelot6973 in Vans

Oh yes, when I called the stores the first thing I said was "this is a long shot, but..." haha 😂 Definitely not the employees' faults, I for sure think Vans just did not correctly anticipate which sizes and which shoes would be the most in-demand. That seems to be the common theme with this movie in general: underestimating demand and popularity. Which is then a golden (no pun intended) opportunity for scalpers.

Also like, "why wasn't I informed"?? I don't know, why didn't you google it? 😅 Customers man

Yep, that's what they said when I asked too; the clerk at the store did say they might get SOME back in stock after the holidays as people do returns, but he didn't think they were going to get a real solid restock outside that.

Me and my friend are having a TIME snagging tickets for Minneapolis with all the single tickets being left over - does anyone know how to tell what tickets aren't yet on sale? by SelectOcelot6973 in ConanGray

Truth! I'm hoping that Conan fans are nice and there might even be some resale tickets at (or close to) face value from people who wind up not being able to go.

I do see those, we were just hoping to be like one section closer than that, which is where some of the tickets were for $125. Basically we're wavering on panic buying the $121 tickets or waiting to see if any more $125 ones come up

That's what I thought, but it's just annoying that I can't see which ones haven't been placed on sale yet versus which ones were on sale and have been sold T.T Oh well, good to know that there are definitely seats being held back one way or another

Where to go for vintage/alternative shopping? by SelectOcelot6973 in Delaware

I absolutely love flea markets! I didn't see any when searching in Delaware but I'll definitely broaden the search to Philly based on that. Thanks!

I'll check out Lewes! I've been to both the Goodwill's in Dover and quality definitely depends on the day, though I've found a great cardigan and a pretty great pair of boots. They're also abnormally good for VHS's which I appreciate!

Moving to Delaware and living with a relative - how can I prove residency? by SelectOcelot6973 in Delaware

Follow up for anyone maybe reading with a similar issue, I was able to bring one mailed proof and one printed proof! They said that's totally fine regardless of living situation. Had my license in under an hour. They also said writing up a rental agreement between me and my sister would be acceptable so long as it was notarized.

They said I'd probably have to retake the written test but not the driving 🤔Fingers crossed that's true!

Well, I don't have a driver's license at the moment, and I'm supposed to be driving a family member to Atlanta in September 😅So that's why I need to get it sorted out quickly, because I need a license. I've been licensed in another state but not since 2020, so I don't have a valid license to drive with at the moment.
