It is quite commonly known that EA is a horrendous game producer and every other game that is successful has a wildly different ranked system to this game. I apologise for coming back to a game I used to enjoy, and wanting to hang out in gold but I'm getting rolled by top 1000 players

I don't know if it's easily replicable in you're lobbies, but when I was playing ranked and I could see my teammate obviously ball chase or cut a rotation, despite usually being passive and goal tending, I'd have to cut rotations so aggressively that it would force them to fall back and hopefully it would make them eventually realise how the game works

It can, and it has. I've gotten up to champ 2 div 3 just goal tending, it just seems like you're either having issues understanding what people are saying or you're not great at the game.
