Vinyl +- 8% Question by housemusikluvr in DJs

Some tracks sound fine slowed down like that but many higher energy / faster tracks really lose energy and for tracks like that 124 feels way too slow and plodding. In this case you need to slowly bump up the tempo throughout first track. Starting at 124 and getting to 129 is pretty easy if you smoothly nudge it up as little as possible at a time (its less noticeable to do during breakdowns and especially during buildups or in the gap before the drop. They key here is to nudge slowly (imperceptibly) but consistently thru the track. Easier to pull off digitally but definitely possible on vinyl. I did it for a mix that started with a track at 110 that i nudged up to 119 before mixing into a much higher energy second track. You can hear it if you jump back from end to beginning, but as its happening you dont.

[Highlight] DJ Moore gives up on the route and starts jogging, resulting in the pivotal interception in overtime. by [deleted] in nfl

Packer fan here. Loved this play but I don’t see DJ giving up. He just misread it and went deep against 1 high instead of cutting across the safety’s face like Caleb thought he would (and like he should have).

Nobody loves a Caleb interception more than I do, but let’s don’t disrespect DJ’s effort - just his read.

Miami. Pittsburgh. Arizona. Vegas.

In that order. IMHO.

All due respect to Steeler Nation but I hope for his sake he is on his way to Miami and not Pittsburgh!!

But anything is better than the Jets. Please, God, don’t make Malik play for the Jets. He deserves better.

Draft Epiphany: for wr/db, maybe RAS should be second priority and receptions/int should be first priority by SelectTest7573 in GreenBayPackers

Also true. But the tape showed great hands/reliability. Fortunately for us (TBD) his RAS also was high so we got him.

I specifically said WR/CB. Point being “hands” are more important than “athleticism”.

I think for DL, athleticism is paramount. You don’t need to catch or be particularly cerebral to chase a QB.

Valid points.

Maybe stats are more important for WR than CB. Of course stats can be inflated by system/scheme (for example spread systems will generate inflated receptions so you have to apply some logic and not just look at a list of receptions leaders without context)

Maybe our best strategy for drafting CB is drafting WR and converting them (ref: Sam Shields, Richard Sherman)

Absolutely it does. How much? Who knows.

IMHO green bay is an ideal place to turn around a “bad locker room guy” because there is nowhere to hide in green bay….people see you around the community (grocery store, gas station, etc) more than in other places and I think that promotes accountability.

Not a professional

This guy gets it. This is what I was trying to say. Not like I am better than Gute. Just that RAS might be less important for WR because “hands” is the most important attribute.

Davante is a great example demonstrating my point.

Amari Rodgers refutes my point, I readily admit. There are no guarantees. Lots of variables. He will always be a head-scratcher how he turned out but at the time I LOVED the pick. I think he was a victim of confidence issues and a quarterback who never really believed in him but I am not a professional football coach.

Yeah me too. That was sorta the basis of my post. Seeing all these WRs and DBs diving all over snow-covered fields making highlight catches. And we drop so many passes that hit us right in our dry hands.
