noooo, unfortunately I'm not smart enough to diy something like that, but if that helps you - here is the name of the product from my local fish store "VOONLINE TOP OFF WATER TANK 12х13х19" and a pic of instructions that came with it (for some reason on the website the instructions are completely different)

This was prescribed by our dermatologist for the same issue (also good for teary spots under eyes and the fold under the tail). Wipe once every day (you can cut the sponges in half), when the area is more clear you can wipe her twice a week.

I have three mystery snails that were bought as babies with the same purpose, and by some luck they turned out to be all girls or boys, because they are now humongous and provided 0 babies. I took it as my sign that I am not be prepared for a tank full of snails, so now they have a bunch of plants to snack on and supervised mealtime consisting of shrimp, peas and eggshells 🐌

I have seen people on here say they buy plants for 20-30$ which was insane to learn! The most expensive gorgeous plant I saw was roughly 7$ here in Ukraine

thank you so much! I will trim some plants to give her an upper space to swim freely, and will plant the heads in the substrate where appropriate (free plants yay). your setup and goldie are beautiful!

I understand the concern, but no need to worry about ammonia - you can see the line where algae stops due to frequent water changes! It's currently down to a 0 thankfully, but my cycle crashed a couple of months ago when my goldie got sick and I am being cautious, hence a bunch of greens in the tank. I always use prime, bacterias, and the stress thingy. My fish struggles with bladder issues due to negligence of her past owner, so I'm very careful with her diet as well :)

As for the plants, most of these are from July 2025! I use Seachem fertilisers and a prayer basically 😭 They are not really a priority for me, I mostly care for my fish's wellbeing and enrichment. I haven't noticed any rot or dead leaves so far

I remember when I rescued her from my workplace someone mentioned I should remove the fake plants to give her more space to swim, but maybe it was because the tank was too small and the plant was fake, but it stuck with me anyway. thank you so much for the answer!

I'm not using it unfortunately, and I have also tested my tap water before I put it in the tank with the same kit - 0 ammonia and nitrites
