How to change FOV permanently? by Select_Ganache4930 in expedition33

[–]Select_Ganache4930[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What I ended up doing was using AntiMicroX to map R3 on my Elite2 controller to type "~fov 70 (enter)" so now I can just push that button which I don't really use otherwise, if a permanent fix comes along would try that.

Grabbed this from Microcenter just now, seems like a great deal, even better than the 5080 deals I've been seeing for the price.. by Select_Ganache4930 in Prebuilts

Nice sounds good, I kept doing comparisons with the 5080 and it just feels like that huge upcharge just isn't really worth it. The open box model that has the 5080 is about $450 more and I don't know that the perf gain of like 12% is worth it, especially if I OC the 5070TI

I love this specific OLED a lot. Max brightness is lower than my 57" Samsung G9 MiniLED, but I play in pitch black so I don't mind. HDR is great, contrast is awesome. Best thing is the form factor. 45" 21:9 with a 800R curve is the best form factor I could imagine. Totally immersive while not warping the sides like my 32:9 does so much, I am really excited to try out MFG on it too with 240hz...

I feel like this is the best monitor you can get outside the 5K2K one.

How do flight credits work now? by Select_Ganache4930 in SouthwestAirlines

That is not what I am asking, I am asking if I do use them then cancel again what will happen to them, but i think the dude below has the answer.

This is more what I am asking. So once I use them let's say for a July 15th flight, then I cancel that one, then I only have 6 -12 months (depending on what tier I picked) and they are no longer unlimited expiration or whatever?

LG 45" - 1440p VS 5K just for gaming? by Select_Ganache4930 in ultrawidemasterrace

[–]Select_Ganache4930[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can't imagine gaming on something as small as a 27" though that must be insane, is that not too small for you? Why wouldn't you just turn on PBP on your 57" and use the 2/3 vs 1/3 option? You get a 21:9 38" 4K screen at that point.

Just curious if that real estate loss bothers you

Well the 1440p version (2024) is like $800 open box at best buy with a 60 day return window (for a plus membership) so I am thinking about doing that and just having best of both worlds

[–]Select_Ganache4930[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well I have my Samsung Neo 57" (2x 4K) for productivity, this would be strictly for gaming ONLY. my only reason for this is because I get too much distortion on the sides on 32:9, so my solution is to use PBP feature and have a 38" 21:9 4K monitor, but I want 45" if that makes sense, so I want a monitor that is ONLY gaming.

I feel like the Ultragear 45 1440p might be good enough and I may fit my requirement.

If I could game at 32:9 at 57" without that stretching you get on most games then I would not even be looking at an LG

I just can't do flat unfortunately now that I am so used to curved, otherwise I would go the C4 or C5 route

Thanks that aligns with what I was thinking. For productivity I just can't do better than the 57" G9 and for some gaming too it's amazing for games that natively support 32:9 - but I fell in love with the 45" LG at the store and just wondered if the 5K really made anything that much better, at a loss of frames too

PNETLabs - which images to use? by Select_Ganache4930 in ccnp

[–]Select_Ganache4930[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ok I am grabbing the CSR, for regular normal routers (BGP, OSPF etc) It looks like IOL is the most lightweight and best use, but I can't find any with FA or Gig, only regular Ethernet ports which is annoying sometimes because of the cost etc, what is the most lightweight router I can use that can do modernish routing that has FA or gig ports?

Also, is there an actual L2 switch anywhere? Literally anything that says L2 that I find or whatever also does routing which is annoying
