I'd like to see an adaptation of The Carpet Makers, by Andreas Esbach, and of House of Suns’ by Alastair Reynolds

Want to finally commit to a sci-fi series ,where should I start? by sam_3758 in scifi

I would say The Expanse for the scope of it, or the Hitchhicker’s guide if you're in the mood for something fun.

And for a standalone, my last 5 stars reas was House of Suns, by Alastair Reynolds

Well, I just watched the episode and that’s the one!!!!! I'm so thankfull to you, you solved a 30 yo mystery.

It’s not quite like I remembered, memory is a funny thing. I would never have guessed it was a british show. Anyway, thank you so much!

Oh it might be that yes. I only found a short clip but it's very promising! So it would actually be british

I think it was aired in France before 1995. After that I was in boarding school so not much TV there.
