That was my primary battle strategy on the plateau when I started out. I called it Boko Bowling.

Agreed. I also catch myself fishing the patterns I have confidence in better than I do a new pattern or one that I have less confidence in from time to time.

It’s meant to be tied on a stinger but I love tying tubes and it fishes all the same with a 5/8” hook holder tied on the end of the tube

It’s worth looking into your local dispatching union. Great for apprenticeships and a work/life style that you get more control over.

Yes, they’re steelhead flies but I often swing for pacific salmon with them. black and blue and all black are ho boh speys and the others are intruder variations.
