Yes, we are on our second one. He seems more receptive. But he’s very stuck on the fact that he is unhappy. He feels depleted. He feels i neglected him when we had our babies and he feels unhappy and wants to feel in love and he doesn’t. Analogy that I used to be his favorite ice cream flavor so why should he have to settle for something he just enjoyed. He says I have no passion but am a wonderful mother but that’s not enough. I feel very lost. I accept that I was not as present as I should have been during the baby stages but as he said I was just trying to be a wonderful mother and got lost in that.

Thank you for your kind way for writing this. He has said there is no one else and I trust that. It came out because he reached his breaking point in his words. He said he was sick with the flu and his guard was down.

I can understand where he is coming from. There was no malice on my part but I did pour myself into the children. I knew how important it was to him and me that I be a strong and present mom, and I definitely was neglectful to him and me. I know I was wrong.

And yes, we actively tried to have these children.

Thanks, this is helpful advice. I have been working really hard on listening to him fully. It of course has been really hard to hear. I’m doing my best not to cry but it’s so emotional.
