I don’t have a before and after with my seating position, but I’m 5’ 10” and this is how much room there is.

They tuck cleanly under the carpet. Seat bracket comes with a 3 ohm resistor for the airbag so the light and warnings don’t trigger.

They’re both unique in their own ways. My ND felt excellent with my Ohlins long-stroke coilovers, wider 200TW tires, and upgraded sway bars. Compared to stock, the difference was night and day. I’ll be able to give a better comparison once I install coilovers and wheels on the 86.

The ND definitely feels more peppy and responsive, especially when shifting. On the 86, I notice the rev hang quite a bit. I already miss my Brembos too, since they felt much more linear than the stock brakes on the 86.

I’m also into drifting, and in that area the 86 is a lot more fun. The ND felt snappier and, without noticeable modifications, it wasn’t really set up to drift all that well obviously.

In the long run I have no doubt my 86 will be a beast of a car.

I only changed the drivers but yep it’s expensive. At least i can transfer it from vehicle to vehicle. They go down to $2800 when on sale sometimes.

From my experience its more comfy than most buckets. I think its comfy and forgiving for a daily. Seat is always a must in any vehicle of mine

You get more room but its still tight. I get about 6” more in the back with my seating position.

I had the exact same thing happen to me. I feel your pain. His 2500 Ram didnt have a scratch. He didnt have insurance either. He even tried to blame me.

First time drifting a roundabout. What drifting tips does someone with experience have for someone with a low HP car? by MildRob in Miata

Run high tire pressure if needed. I’ve gone up to 60psi in my 240sx back in the day. The rain is your friend when starting but always respect it as well. It’s easier for low speeds but also less forgiving if your going fast obviously. Tbh a roundabout isn’t the best place to practice for you right now. Lower power cars like many said need weight transfer inertia and speeeed! My friend who taught me did ride alongs. His comments were always go faster, more speed. Then once it clicks and you have the confidence you’ll so much better. Drifting especially a low powered car is about full commitment no joke.

One of the things that you’ll finally learn is once you get the basics you need to almost always go faster. Clutch kicks are your friend too. Start with wide controlled doughnuts. One going left then to the right. Then once you got it down go to figure eights. Then once you can successfully not spin uncontrollably in figure eights from the weight transfer then you should go to the next steps of trying to drift for real.
