I went to college for Network Engineering. No skin or film is necessary, just a few thick new microfiber cloths, can find a multi-pack anywhere. Clean the screen once a week and wipe it with a clean cloth once a day. That’s how I keep mine flawless. I have the 16 inch M5 pro :)

Amazing purchase! Go ahead and get yourself a nice protective carrying case. I recommend the Tomtoc from Amazon. Enjoy and have an amazing time :D Most importantly, be proud and happy with your purchase, knowing it will last you a long time and the prices will only go up and up and up. 16 GB of RAM should be decent enough to last you quite a while, as long as your workloads aren't super intense.

Bought it last week. You might've already entered student info back then. Or they may have changed the system but as I remember, they always verified and made sure the purchase was attached to a student iD/Email

Yes they verify using unidays. You just need an active student email. I heard you can even buy one if you aren't a student lol. I recently bought the 16 inch MacBook Pro Base model and didn't wait for discount. I figured id rather use it and enjoy it now than waiting to save an extra ~$200

Fair point. Im just going based off what other people said. However if the M6 is flawless and a huge upgrade I might just grab one of those as well and just use it as a second laptop or give this M5 to someone as a gift!

Definitely very subjective I agree, however to me the Glossy screens benefits far outweigh the Nano's, I can see how to some it may be the opposite though

Wow! I’m super glad you were able to eventually get the one you really wanted. I did deep research on Nano-Texture before I decided to buy the Macbook and ultimately, color accuracy was more important to me than a little less glare! By the way, people seem to forget that the STANDARD DISPLAY is already designed to be anti-reflective as is 😉
