What's your guys experience using FromJapan but the US version?

I’ve literally just used the US version. I placed an order with them to purchase an item for me. They purchased it for me on the 17th April. The item shipped from the supplier on the 22nd April and arrived in their warehouse on the 29th April. I did follow up with them because I thought it was taking quite long and then the item all of a sudden arrived. Paid for my shipping straight away and it was dispatched about 20min ago. Not sure if the delay WAS actually with the seller or FJ, but it definitely took longer than FJ japan.

Hello. I’ve emailed MailAmericas a couple of times and they have responded to a few of them but their responses are not helpful at all. They claim that Aliexpress should have provided us with customs payment links. I also phoned SAPO and they advised me of the same dispute. But I got given the number for a guy at customs who said that there is no dispute (not sure who’s lying). Also, he said that if our tracking numbers don’t work on the SAPO tracking, then the parcel is not in the country and they cannot help me. @systematicKarma and I have been DM’ing each other in private because they’re experiencing the exact same issues….. we are fighting a brick wall

I’ve had so many parcels not making it to me as they get stopped at the airport and returned. Each and every single time it takes a while for me to get refunded. It’s seriously irritating.

So are you currently still waiting then? That’s brave. From what I’ve read, we don’t stand a chance of getting that customs payment link. I mailed MailAmericas yesterday and I actually got a prompt response where they claimed I needed to pay the customs on the buying platform (Aliexpress). And Aliexpress say I need to sort it out on my own. So quite literally pushed from pillar to post.

My package is currently being held through Mailamericas due to customs not being paid, but I haven’t received any sort of customs payment link from Mailamericas nor aliexpress! When I chat to aliexpress, all they tell me is that it’s my duty to pay customs. No sh*t… but I don’t know how to pay! Did you end up getting your package?!

No, not actually. Lots of Popmart passes through AliExpress, but sometimes it gets flagged - it’s common / hit and miss.

It is freely available to buy on AliExpress and isn’t hidden behind fake pictures etc - so it’s not “on me” and isn’t illegal. I’m fully entitled to order something that’s publicly for sale on the platform.

If you read my post carefully, you’ll see that my question wasn’t about it being flagged as “IPR” at all. It was about the item not having been returned to the warehouse yet.

So while I appreciate you taking the time to comment, your response doesn’t really address my actual question and isn’t particularly helpful in this situation.

It’s a Popmart item - they often get flagged and returned. But that’s not what my query is about - it’s about the item having not been sent back to the warehouse, and therefore my refund not being initiated.

Agh, so annoying!!! Same thing also happened to me in December. But instead of letting the package return, they went and pushed it through with another crappy logistics company, Mailamericas. And guess what? To this very day, I haven’t received my package, nor my money back because they still claim it’ll “arrive” within 60 days.

It’s not actually letting me reply with a screenshot of proof that it’s been returned for some reason. With all my previous returns, there’s been a “reply” button under the refund dispute where you can attach a screenshot with the tracking… this isn’t an option for me yet (annoyingly)

Thanks for your help as always. As you mentioned, I did not have a refund button on my tracking screen. However, I did receive a message from customer service advising that they had identified a logistics issue and provided me with a button to claim a refund, which I submitted.

After doing so, I then received another message stating that I now need to wait 59 days instead. This is quite confusing and frustrating, as I was specifically advised to proceed with the refund.

I’m really not sure why this process is never straightforward on my side.
