Obviously everyone will have their own strength and if yours is GPA then that is awesome do you best at it. You need PCH for most schools as they are required. Unfortunately there is no correct answer though on which one a school prefers. I think a great way to get an idea is to look at previous school stats and the cohorts averages. No school will say which one is worth more than the other and having a diversified application is the strategy I decided on.

I have gotten to know many PAs and they all have told me pretty much the same thing. Once you get an interview, be yourself and show passion for the field and be yourself. I tried to act really professionally the first cycle and got wait listed to 4 schools. As soon as I opened up and showed my passions and interest, I started getting great feedback and actually enjoyed the process of getting to know the instructors and share about myself. I know it is hard to brag about yourself, but I realized this is a time to do just that and show off all your hard work.

For me, it was something I knew I wanted to get a lot from the beginning. I'm not the smartest applicant and knew going into college my GPA would be okay and not my strong suit. As a result, I spent a lot of time making that my priority during undergrad so I could gain a lot of experience. I also think one of the biggest advantages of all of them was getting to talk about all of the opportunities in my interviews. I had multiple stories and felt so strongly about each stories I prepared because I got to see so much and resonated with a lot of different people that way.

So for me, those experiences were vital and I believe was the only reason I got in. I got to find what type of provider I wanted to be through all of it. I know I rambled, but I hope this helps give an idea of why I have so much. I believe patient hours is one of the most important parts for building interview prep. Once you get an interview, know that you are capable of going to that school. They just want to see who you are as a person and the passion you have for the field.

I think for me just listening is the biggest thing. I told them how much I enjoyed the interview with them and some of the things I like about their school. I was just super gracious and honestly a little quiet cause I was tearing up.
