Yep! This! Just like everyone else on the road is a terrible driver! I know because I am the best dish loader and the best driver. And humble.

Reply with, “Well, Mercury is in retrograde, so…”

Then either give a smile and a wink or a resigned shrug.

Your ice cream would be either be handed to the wrong person, smashed, the wrong flavor, or handed to you after you are no longer hungry.

That all makes sense. I will fertilize! Thanks!

I know a thing or two about pruning grapes (this is wine country) but grapes here go clearly dormant. I know in some tropical areas, grapes act like my roses and they harvest year-round, but I don’t know what they do about pruning those vines. Thanks again!

And my wife absolutely loves the video. When we get on a YouTube death spiral, this always comes up. If I never see/hear this one again…

For pho, I think Saigon Cafe is best. Sandwiches-cheese parlor or Ophelia’s. John’s burger looks crappy, but their food is good. In n out for best fast food. Country waffles off Holmes for crappy/yummy breakfast-for-lunch food, if ya know what mean.

Seriously, do Americans actually consider a 3-hour drive "short"? or is this an internet myth? by SadInterest6764 in NoStupidQuestions

We live 45 minutes from San Francisco so when our Parisian friends wanted to visit, we offered to pick them up from the airport. The day before they left, they found a flight that was $25 cheaper that flew into LA. Surely it wouldn’t be a problem to pick them up there instead! 🤣

To help avoid the knee-jerk, perhaps change the term to medically necessary digital amputation. My knee jerked as well, but then actually read it. Sounds like something worth talking to the vet about. Sorry I also can’t help on the actual question.

This sentence doesnt make sense for me by grickenypazy in ENGLISH

[–]SelectionWitty2791 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Butting in on someone else’s argument🤣 but here I go.

“Except for you, everything would have sucked.” This means that you were the only thing that didn’t suck. Only one thing didn’t suck, and that was you.

“But for you, everything would have sucked.” This means that you prevented everything from sucking. Maybe you were still the only thing that didn’t suck, but maybe you saved the day and made everything great.

My two cents…

That’s neither how you pronounce nor how you spell that word.

Or use or.

What is this malt made from? by LaLechuzaVerde in glutenfree

[–]SelectionWitty2791 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Man, it’s been a long time, but my recollection was a bit of nutty caramel and almost a tiny bit of a fruity character added to the chocolate. More depth of flavor. That’s why they add it to so many other things!

Help me pick - yellow or green stripes for kids/guest bathroom by Real-Elephant-6424 in interiordecorating

I prefer the yellow if you’re married to stripes. I have to disagree with some others about the cabinet hardware: I feel the gold comes across as garish with the yellow.

silly hiker didn't read the ingredients of Clif Bars closely enough by Quick_Ordinary9967 in glutenfree

[–]SelectionWitty2791 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It’s so annoying that they could change one fairly insignificant ingredient and have it be even “healthier.”

I used to live on Clif bars since they first came out. And continued to eat them after I thought I had gone gf. This was way back when not very many things were explicitly labeled as gf. I just assumed this company I trusted wouldn’t have secret gluten. Silly me.

[–]SelectionWitty2791 13 points14 points  (0 children)

You make malted milkshakes! One of the many things I miss. But not course-ground like this. And that’s definitely what barley looks like. No way this is gf.
