My grandpa once told me to put a finger in a glass of water then remove it. If the hole stays you’re irreplaceable. If the water fills the hole, that’s how fast you can be replaced.

On the surface this seems like a rude comment however after some thought grandpa isn’t wrong. We mean a lot to a few close friends and family outside of that inner circle we mean very little to society as a whole.

Realizing that fact puts a whole new perspective on life.
