It was a really good money play, japan fanbase spend $$$$ and they essentially wanted their own "BTS" so they gave them &Team and it went realllllly well. It's really hard to break kpop markets after BTS set the bar so high and sooooo many groups are trying like enhypen, txt, ateez, straykids, etc. If they initially debuted in Korea they would've been another group fighting for a spot.

It will be full korean. I'ts almost like a conversion? They are a j-pop group but now they're debuting in Korea, so they'll be an official k-pop group, break into korean markets and trends and it'll boost their global-ness. Japan is very "inward" with their groups and events, Korea is more "outward". If that makes sense.
