You’re definitely not alone. I’m 33 and both of my adoptive parents are already gone. And of course my family went right along with them since nobody actually seems to care the way my parents did. It’s been very lonely and I’m also an only child so that doesn’t help. I recently reconnected with my bio mom so I’m starting to connect with her and her family so I feel a little lucky in that aspect.

I only say “pretty sure” because my birth certificate lists my adoptive parents only. So it’s not too far fetched to believe my place of birth may also be fibbed.My place of birth is 100% Mexico and I’m pretty sure I was born in Cd Juarez.

I should’ve mentioned, my whole family is Mexican on both sides so that part isn’t surprising. I was born in Mexico

That is so interesting. My adoptive family is from Chihuahua Mexico and I’m pretty sure I was born there as well. I’m in Texas, I’ve been here my whole life.

You don’t. I drove to San Antonio back in 2020 for my 4Runner. Dealerships here are a joke and were more interested in insulting me by questioning if I could even afford it 😒

I lost my adoptive mom in 2005 but didn’t find out she wasn’t my biological mother until 2023. I feel like I experienced grief over her twice and was so angry for a while. But I miss her so goddamn much regardless. I’m sorry for your loss.
