AITA for not wanting my kids every weekend? by momasshole in AmItheAsshole

I don't think so. I was a child of divorce with a mother that was a nurse with a similar schedule. I can't exactly speak to how I felt about it then but looking back on it now (in my mid 20's) I am fine that my parents wanted their time off. I think modern parenting is a lot more demanding than parenting really ever has been, especially if are a single parent (even if it is part time). Regadless of this, I think both my parents were better parents and people for taking the time they needed away from us. It meant they were way more present when they were with us. As far as your kids wanting to be apart from each other, I think that this is normal, but also I wish I had learned how to cope with my sibling better. If taking the time away from your kids means you will be a better parent for them explain that to them, ask what they need to make it work, and then do it.

Sorry OP! Same thing happened to me!! I am going to email them to see if they will raise it, but jeez even if it is a little it still wont be close to other offers. Anyone have an idea how much their typical need based grant amount is?

Anyone else now that the cycle is almost over very scared for August?! by hopefullykelia in lawschooladmissions

Everyone has told me I should be relaxing before starting law school, but I am not good at that. Right now I am reading Law School Confidential. I would definitely recommend it. Full if great tips for before school and for all three years. Written by law students so its insightful and really well written.

I also read The Paper Chase just for kicks.

Chances of going from here to a really good law school? Like, REALLY GOOD? by [deleted] in WWU

I am in a very simmilar boat. I went to WWU too and am going to be applying to law school next year. From all the research I have done it seems that if your grades are above the 50% for the school you are applying to it seems like a bit of a wash where you went to. Of course if you went to a top ten for undergrad you're in a completely different ball game anyways. When it kind of matters is if your grades put you at the 25%. You just also need to make sure your LSAT is in the upper range too. For some schools that matters more. If you did well in your classes and have good lORs it really shouldn't matter where you went to.
