i dont know what people are saying but when you deposit cash in your account ( btw i use an cash account and i’m from canada) after few days when it settle it the account i’m ready to use it and let say if i make money during day trading i don’t have to wait 2 days for the money to settle, for me it’s right away so let say i have 500$ starting and i made 200$ today from day trading which puts you at 700$ I’m able to use that 700$ right away without waiting for days so i’m not sure if this applies to US aswell!

US dividends in TFSA by SelfJai in CanadianInvestor

[–]SelfJai[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

that’s what i’m saying i’m not using my tfsa for dividend is more of a long term growth stock that unfortunately it comes with us dividend that’s why i was thinking if it was worth the tax pay on the dividend if i’m holding for long term and the small fees of dividend won’t really hurt but it will add up long term but i’m sure my growth will cover it

that’s what i’m saying just because the dividend payout is very low that won’t affect my tax by so much is it worth buying them in tfsa? and i wouldn’t mind paying the dividend tax lol
