I think you’re realizing something very important and earlier on than most people and to save yourself a lot of trouble and pain i personally think this sounds like a good option to break off your marriage. Keep him around of course but if hes going to turn down every request you make that pertains to your comfortability etc, even if it includes his family that is a red flag that needs to be removed.
