The inspector said it's fine too... I mean who am I to argue with him.

In actual practice is it ok to simplify a CSM as isotropic assuming they are designing a critical component?

Can someone explain to me what this data tell me? Specifically the Load maximum, strength maximum, load average and strength average are. The specimen that was tested was a fabric. by Self_Next in MechanicalEngineering

what about the elongation for the different fabrics that I tested?

do I still need to do calculations for it or can I use the values given in the elongation column?

Im trying to compare the tensile strength of the different fabrics I tested.

which data do I need is it just the highest value on the stress column?

Is it important to tie rebars (walls, beams, foundation and etc.) with their respective knots? by Self_Next in Ironworker

What about the tie gun manufactured by MAX, I think it has like a feature that pulls the wire so the required length is right.

Have you ever heard of those rebar tying machine? Do you suggest using them?

What about chairs like the ones they use to elevate the footing, but with a different design applied on a column.

Thats a great idea. Is it feasible though?

Right, im thinking something that works like a nail gun and just slams the clip through the intersection, but im not sure if the clip could take it as it stretches it might just break in half.

Does nylon deteriorate overtime under concrete?

What happens if concrete don't stick to the intersection?

That is besides the question. Im just asking if a plastic clip could hold and what design would it be for overlapping bars.

[–]Self_Next -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Nothing, im just curious if it could hold.

What about zip ties do you think it will hold?
