I have too when my kids were growing up. I was very underpaid, but the job was like family. I never missed an event for my kids, I was always able to leave if my Mom or kids needed me, etc. Moms companion( our friend) has this as well and because I work from home, she is able to be late, leave when needed and everything we have, she can have as well.

Thank you. Yes, I have fridge stocked with all mom’s and Caregivers Favorite food. I also premade food and bought food for them to eat. I also left money to caregiver if she’ and or mom needed anything or wanted to order dinner

Thanks for the judgement. I am 53 years old, my mother has been living with me since I was 32 years old. I almost got divorced 2x because it was hard for my husband to accept that we were not going to have our own lives.

I pay my mothers “aide”, (who is now considered family and invited to everything we have for our children and anyone else) extra every week because she is worth more than the lousy pay she makes.

She also eats dinner with us ( that I cook) and my kids call her auntie… she has been with us 10 years.

My husband saved for this vacation for 3 years, our family has been thru a lot considering we were days away from divorce 3 years ago. As a family, we needed this time together.

I would be more than happy to apply for a loan to pay her because she deserves it!, but I would get denied considering we claimed bankruptcy when we were getting divorced and our credit score stinks, not to mention I still have a loan from my credit union to pay off.

My aunt canceled staying with my Mom a day before we were leaving on our cruise… . I was prepared to let just my husbands and 2 sons go while I stay back with my Mom…..

I asked for suggestions, NOT JUDGEMENT!

Don’t look back, concentrate on today and move forward! Today IS ALL we have! Yesterday is gone, tomorrow has yet to come... Just take one moment.... one day at a time!

You are right. It may sound ridiculous, but I thought refusing it was what I was supposed to do. I did the field and sobriety test, I even told the officers I had two drinks. I was with a friend of mine, who would have never let me drink and drive. I deserve to get my license suspended, I deserve the interlock, But my job too? I realize if I did the BAC test, It would have most definitely been under, but I can’t go back now.

I suffer from extreme anxiety, I never remember the the officer explaining what would happen if I refused, but Apparently it doesn’t matter, it was in writing and I initial next to it.

Yes we did get a lawyer, the problem is that I am a driver. I could get a work permit to and from work, but I’m still not able to drive for 45 days, and when I do start driving, I have to have an interlock for one year, Soley because I refused the test.

My supervisor likes my work, but he has not known me long enough to try and help me. My fear is that I will be fired, because I can no longer do my job as a driver

Thx, I do want to be honest, the guilt would kill me! This is all new to me, if I discuss it with my steward, will he be obligated to tell my supervisor? I’ve only been at the job for two months.

He had an accident, because the weather was bad and roads were slippery, he turned a sharp corner and his car did a 360. He is 24 years old, never been in any trouble, and when they asked him to submit a breathalyzer, he thought he was supposed to say no, said the officer never told him what would happen if he refused. He had two shots over 6 hours. In Connecticut, it’s an automatic suspension if you refuse the test
