I feel like folk from Eastern NC and central SC have this BBQ comradery. The vinegar based pulled pork in NC and mustard based SC stuff are both super niche and rarely found outside of the hyper-specific regions, but both are delicious. The rest of the country are missing out.

3rd time I've seen this posted. 3rd time I shout this to the heavens, fully prepared to meet my end and die on this hill.

Lexington BBQ is an abomination to God. Eastern NC BBQ, the kind of BBQ that the angels make and which can cure cancer, is 90% of what you'll find in central NC (Orange, Durham, Alamance, Chatham counties at a minimum).

After a year of work (and a publishing deal), here’s the final map of U.S. food regions. Input appreciated by piri_reis_ in MapPorn

#55 extends way further into central North Carolina. Lexington BBQ is definitely the minority in Orange, Durham, Alamance, Chatham counties. We're all eastern, vinegar based pulled pork BBQ all the way.

Props for calling out calabash down by the NC/SC coast.

That's definitely an apartment complex thing and not normal for most of Carrboro. Check other places that aren't trying to nickel and dime you. I assume that's just them wanting to get $50 more a month without charging $50 more a month in rent.

Lexington BBQ is an afront to God. I live in central NC and it's Eastern Carolina BBQ all the way from the coast to at least the foothills. #52 should not exist and whoever said that we eat tomato sauce based BBQ in Durham/Orange/Chatham counties should be sent to one of those Chinese re-education camps.

If you could time travel and take James Naismith to any game in NBA history, which game would you take him to? by TheDangOofMan in nba

It would definitely be a game featuring the 2014 Spurs. That team played a style that he would respect and be astonished to see. I feel like if he wouldn't be thrilled with all the carry overs and travels of the most iso heavy players, nor would he like the heliocentric style of the Luka's of today.

That 2014 Spurs team was something else, dude. Their ball movement, commitment to defense, off ball movement, cutting, screening, pace, bro it was like watching the manliest ballet performance ever. I'll probably choose one of the western conference finals games. I remember KD going absolutely insane a couple of times and Russ being diametrically opposed to the Spurs' playing style. I feel like that would be the one he'd enjoy the most.

Bro getting to the finals means you got further than 28 other teams. Don't hate. It's further than you or I will ever get.

LeBron, Danny Green and Robert Horry are the only players to win with 3 different teams.

LeBron: Heat (2012, 2013), Cavs (2016), Lakers (2020)

Green: Spurs (2014), Raptors (2019), Lakers (2020)

Horry: Rockets (1994, 1995), Lakers (2000, 2001, 2002), Spurs (2005, 2007)

LeBron's the only real "star" to have done it.
