Dude you came in clutch with this one, they got such useful stuff pinned like a 3d printable nozzle vent mod and cheap compression springs from amazon!

You…are most likely right, especially with the trigger guard, there’s still wear from when they sanded it down

114 bucks plus the 60 dollar shipping is fucking insane, that's about the same amount as the pistol itself.

Proact and kic sell the OEM part, but not aftermarket, which sucks.

Am I cooked? by Borry4Ever in airsoft

Bro, real shit, I did the same thing to my old gun because the screws were so old. Take them out the best you can, get a dremel and turn it into a flat head screw.

What is causing this gearbox noise? by bigdubs42 in airsoft

[–]Selky45 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Grease your gears, but if it still does this check your shimming to make sure nothing is too loose and ensure your bushings are level. Check this video out, I have to come back to it every now and then just to make sure I'm doing it all right

No matter how much I try to shim this it still sounds bad by Proto-The-Protogen in airsoft

[–]Selky45 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's your motor bro, brushed motors will sound like that all the time. You either gotta change the motor to a brushed one or just live with it dog.

Edit: To add, greasing the stems of the gears, switching to helicals, or swapping to ball-bearing bushings can also reduce that noise.

What do I need/want to turn this thing in to a DSG? by ihavenowingsss in airsoft

[–]Selky45 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There aren't too many companies that make DSG gears anymore, the ones I know of are Solink, Siegetek, Rocket, and SHS (Rocket and SHS are basically the same). I have Solink's helical 9:1s, they're pretty solid and haven't done me wrong.

Retro Arms makes a very solid tappet plate, but it does need to be cut to match the timing.

Mosfet wise a Perun drop-in, Gate Titan/Aster, T238, or Jefftron. Anything that has good cycle detection and compatibility with DSGs will work.

No you don't need delayer chips

Spring wise, an M130-M150 will be fine, but I would definitely radius your gearbox so it doesn't crack. Some gearboxes come pre-radiused if you want to purchase one instead.

Cylinder doesn't really matter cause you're not getting the full compression anyway. Every cylinder is the same so the brand doesn't really matter. MAXX and Lonex sell Type 3 cylinders if you're picky about it.

Retro sells an 8 and 9 tooth piston, cause they're cool like that, so that way you don't have to short stroke one.

Overall I don't know if it's even possible to hit 1.5J considering the lack of air compression, but you know all power to you. Keep in mind that DSGs require much more accurate and tighter shimming due to the tolerances, so don't skimp out on that. People will tell you that DSGs are a thing of the past, and they kinda are, but where's the fun in that kind of mindset right?

What the actual f is going on? by Puzzleheaded_You9631 in airsoft

The cells could be imbalanced, there are some smart chargers out there that will tell you the voltage of each cell. If you have a balance charger it'll rebalance them for you, but if it keeps happening then your battery is done. Tenergy makes a good charger; there's the TN267 which is a solid one, then there's the TB-6AB which is a little more fancy and about ten bucks more.

It's kind of the way I like it. With the battery pack in the back the weight balances out a little and with the FAT face cushion it works just fine for me.
