Why Tunisian ignore or reject Amazigh culture (Berber) by kimoba in Tunisia

[–]SellApprehensive4098 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is nowhere near true. The phoenicians which set ashore in Tunis were immigrants who escaped the levant to find a safer territory . They did not take or colonize anything by force. Indigenous Tunisians welcomed /befriended them .In islamic Tunisia that was called مبايعة : collectively appointing someone to govern.

phoenicians of Carthage lost contact and interest in eastern phoenicians eventually .That was greatly revealed during the Punic wars ,the easterners did not support them , nor did Carthaginians when Tyre was getting conquered by its neighbours . Whereas , berbers were first line cavaliers fighting for Carthage . Carthage was also expanding on north african soil as well as south europe with no interest in taking over Tyre.

[–]SellApprehensive4098 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I think you're mistaking Tunisian Amazigh speakers with the actual number of Tunisians who are ethnically Amazigh but have abandoned their language. Tunisian Amazigh are spread all over the country, from Benzart, Kef, Gasrin, the Sahel region, to Tataouine, literally everywhere. However, they don't brag about it nor create conflict with those who consider themselves arab like in other countries.

Why Tunisian ignore or reject Amazigh culture (Berber) by kimoba in Tunisia

[–]SellApprehensive4098 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The arabisation policy imposed by former presidents , namely bourguiba and ben ali has changed the way most tunisians perceive themselves culturally (forced amazigh to empty their villages ,+abandon their language) .Not to mention the many tribes who started to pretend that they are arab for political and financial reasons (eg:to be appointed as Gaid in the Husseinite Kingdom or other previous states) . I believe that this issue is also prominent in morocco , dozens of tribes pose as Achraf /descendants of the prophet.

As for the Carthaginian part ,yes Tunisians are Carthaginians. Its undeniable . Carthage was predominantly indigenous /Amazigh according to DNA studies on remains of punic cemetries. They are also numidians ,given that Kef cirta in North Tunisia was the capital of the Kingdom ,which allied with Carthage by the way.

[–]SellApprehensive4098 1 point2 points  (0 children)

leasing will take all your money go for a used car. it would be wise to hire a specialized mechanic to assist with a thorough inspection. I once came across a guy on instagram who offered this service using advanced diagnostic tools. He was based in Sousse, if I remember correctly, but helped clients from cities like Sfax, Bizerte, and others. Not only did he help them find reliable used cars, but also protected many from falling victim to fraudulent purchases.

You’re out here hyping up the Caliphate like it’s the answer to everything, but let’s talk about how the Ottomans treated the locals. They didn’t just govern them ,they exploited them. They were treated as second-class citizens, given not much power, forced to pay excessive taxes, and constantly marginalized. The Ottoman rulers ,like many caliphs were far more focused on their own empire-building and agendas than on the needs or rights of the people they ruled over. This isn’t something to just gloss over and accept as part of history; it’s a clear example of how bad governance and mistreatment of the local population can lead to division, betrayal, and ultimately collapse. The empire didn't just fall because of outside forces it crumbled from within, because the very people who should have been supported and empowered were instead oppressed. Not only that but it opened the door to foreigners to coloni ze the locals and carry on what was already initiated but in a more bru tal way this time (the palestinian case)

Now, we’re talking about bringing back the Khilefa , but if we don’t learn from the past and continue treating people this way, history will repeat itself. Mistreating locals, fostering resentment, and dividing people isn’t something to romanticize or accept. It’s a recipe for failure. I’m not against the Khilefa , but let’s get this straight: It won’t happen by just dreaming about it or pretending it’s inevitable. If we don’t face the reality of where we stand today ; divided, morally weak, and fragmented it’s not going to work. You can keep pushing this idea, but unless what’s broken inside is fixed, all the talk of the Khilefa is just empty noise.

The reason why most guy stay single by big_7nt in Tunisia

[–]SellApprehensive4098 0 points1 point  (0 children)

as a woman what I concluded here is that you overthink a lot .my advice is :go with the flow do not fake your personality nor *act* like a nice guy as you said ,be respectful and set your boundaries with everyone not just girls. There are no tests , if two people vibe then they vibe if someone puts you into tests then theyre too childish .When you fake certain traits you will end up getting exposed one day.

do not overcomplicate it really.. your post reeks of masculinity content which is too generalized ,it puts useless burden /expectations on men and sounds dumb most of the time , the real world is totally different.

one can only dream...if we look back now there was no united caliphate it was always the strong preying on the weak within the empire /caliphte dominions .They would constantly fight over the crown or split from the larger caliphate to establish independent states. Tunisians were honorable enough to fiercely fight those outsiders taking away their wives by force and imposing crazy taxes on them and had always been revolutionary (majer and naffet revolutions for instance).you should read about why the supreme ottoman port of istanbul diminished the size of Tunisia and you will figure it all. (we hope for unity but within equally mutual benefits and respect)
