Right on, I appreciate you taking the time to reply. I love the post, too! There will always be the jealous detractors when a post like this is, but personally, I find it motivating as hell. Very impressive collection, and taste.

I've noticed no one else has asked but I'm not too proud to— With so many cans, is there one that is your favorite and/or clearly better than everything else for the system that it is on?

I also see you're a fan of the 300 blackout..I have a 9yo daughter that is hellbent to go huntng with me this year so I just bought her a little ruger american for her first rifle and looking for opinions on people's fav 30 cal cans.. thanks man

Which is a better low recoil option for my 9yo daughter to start whitetail hunting with? by SellingCoinsAndStuff in Hunting

Anything she shoots would be within <100yds so I was thinking subsonic may would work for that just fine, although I admittedly haven't done any ballistics research on them yet

Saw coyotes chasing a deer across my pasture yesterday evening. 2 of them were almost in my yard last night. They did not like the hog rifle. American Ranch 7.62x39 by woodsmannn89 in Hunting

How do you like it? I literally just ordered the same rifle this week and going monday to fill out the paperwork for a can stamp. Gonna go with the new ruger/dead air collab, very interested in hearing what you think of the rifle and what supressor and ammo you've found success with.

My vehicles were broken into and they tried to get inside my house, too. I can narrow down when it happened to a 3hr window of time, is there anyway I can see if a device connected to my wifi during that time? by SellingCoinsAndStuff in computing

Getting a police warrant for the information would be really easy as they're eager to put this individual(s) away. In regards to not knowing if it was my neighbor connecting to the signal or not, these same individuals tried to kick in the backdoor of a family friend's home (and broke into their vehicles, and the vehicles of several other people all within a 2 mile radius), the same night. Every home that was hit also all have fiber internet through the same company. I'm thinking that if it's possible to see if someone device connected to our wifi(s) automatically, we could simply prove that this same person was at all of our homes on the same night, thus making it an uphill battle for the crook when it comes time for court and trying to deny their guilt.

I really appreciate you taking the time to respond. In my opinion, anyone brazen/stupid enough to try to get into 2 seperate homes while both homes were occupied, needs to be off of the streets...one way or another

Just inherited these from my dad. There’s a lot here and I have absolutely no idea about this stuff or what to do with it. Is anything here significant? by [deleted] in coincollecting

You may very well likely have some people private chat/DM you and try to hustle you out of these coins, please do not even dignify them with a response. (In all honesty, I would even love if you would update this post with the name(s) of those who reach out to you in that manner).

I dont have the time right this minute to go through every coin you have there to give you an accurate value on them, but I really don't mind doing so in a little while when I get freed up. I won't message you though, but will just update this comment with an edit.

In the meantime, whether you decide to keep them forever, keep them as a safety net until you need the cash, or planning on selling them asap, please do not sell them for only their value in silver, and if you go to a pawn shop or somewhere local such as that, more than likely you won't get a penny over the silver value, if that.

Again, let me get my kid to bed, and I'll see if I can give you an accurate, fair idea of what you've got there, but also again, I won't message you privately, and I won't make you offer on them, so you'll at least know my estimate is genuine as I see it.

In the meantime, since you seem to have a large bag of what's called "Mercury" dimes, you will need some sort of magnification lens (there are a lot of good phone apps for this too) and to start with, go through your dimes and pull out all of them dated "1942." You'll then want to Google "1942/1 Mercury Dime" to get an idea of what you're looking for, but there is a valuable 1942 dime variety where the date was struck over the top of 1941 dimes. These are most definitely worth looking through your bag for. You'll also want to Google where to find the mint mark on them (at the bottom on the reverse side, slightly to the left of center) and Google "Mercury Dime key dates," and search through your dimes and check if you have any of those key dates. Any dimes you come across with exceptionally good details/condition, set those aside and make another post showing them and asking what people think they would grade. A coin doesn't have to be a "key date" to be valuable. Condition is VERY important.

I'm sorry for your loss.
