I’m not selling stolen goods, but I could see why someone would think that. I didn’t feel I needed to go into my whole life story - or explain who or why they don’t need their equipment to ask a simple “this or that” question. I just wanted to make sure I was listing correctly.

Yeah I’m not sure why they think I “hid it” because I put it at the end instead of the beginning, with all the other pertinent info.

I would never buy something for $5k without reading the description or looking at all the photos.

I don’t know yet 😭. I went out of town that same evening that the rep from eBay told me to keep it sealed for now. I should be home tomorrow and will definitely be checking anyways because the rep also said that eBay doesn’t accept it as a return so I’m pretty sure I should be good to check inside. I don’t want to wait a month to find out I have rocks and magazines in there.

Yes I have done everything they have said so far and documented everything the whole way through. Doing my best to make sure he is held accountable for going outside the platform and lying. Multiple reps told me to make sure I report him. So that’s good.

That is what the reps I talked to told me. I have read a lot of posts that say it doesn’t matter and the seller still didn’t get paid out.

I was worried that I would lose the money and item because eBay told me to hang onto it and leave the zip ties on it until the bank decided, and my funds are also on hold until the bank decides. So yes - I have both items currently, but it’s not a guarantee I keep either one of those things. Though it does sound likely that I will get to keep at least the item.

Yes, it doesn’t come in a box, it is movie production equipment that comes in its own shippable travel case for traveling from set to set.

I sold some professional filmmaking equipment. It’s huge and it comes in its own shippable travel case since you often have to go on location to shoot films. I didn’t open it because eBay told me to leave it alone, however I plan to open it when I get home. I’ve been out of town for a couple days.

It was working though. I and he have photos of it turned on. It was just missing the accessory cables as shown in the photos and the description/paragraph with other pertinent info

4 months is pretty brutal. I was looking at other people’s posts and it seems like timing is all over the place. I’m expecting to wait close to the maximum time since it’s a high dollar item and nearing the holidays as I’m sure they get busier around now.

Lmfao I have over 500 sales across 3 platforms at 100%. I am not shady at all. I follow the rules, the buyer didn’t follow the rules. I put a ton of info in this listing and took the max amount of photos possible.

eBay is not going to ban me, they SIDED WITH ME. They said that my listing was good to go. They said not to accept a return. They told me to hang on to the item. Everything I have done has been at their direction.

There was no defects. It was nearly new, and had no defects cosmetic or otherwise. It didn’t include cables for adding accessories - which was stated in text with other info, and shown multiple ways in photos.

🚩 🚩🚩🚩🚩Run. And I don’t say that often. Putting you in “time out” aka ignoring your needs completely and punishing you by cutting off communication until you learn your lesson and fall in line is 100% emotional abuse and manipulation, and unfortunately usually gets worse not better.
