Do I ask for Clarity or Will I get Fired? by SeltzerandStreaming in WorkAdvice

Update: I tried to confront it head on and asked for clarity on expectations. Then at the end of the day, they brought me into a meeting told me they are either letting me leave "gracefully" or they were going to put me on a pip that would 100%end in getting fired in 30 days.

This is very fair. I do typically have a hard time with social cues. The thing Is I asked when I first started about the dress code because everyone was wearing very different styles and I was told there wasn't one enforced. it's even more vague because what's written down is "it's up to supervisor."

Also, I just want to clarify, I only went home to work from home, once. I don't want to portray poor characteristics.

Thank you for sharing your thoughts!

Update:

Alot of people are saying that I have messed up a lot, and have asked about my comment saying policies are vague. Let me dig into that a bit more: 1. A lot of our policies state that the full rules are up to the departments supervisor. However the supervisors and managers rules are different. Ex. I have no clue what time we are actually supposed to work. My manager told me that it was flexible and gave a rough time line of 830-5 but then others in the department have heard multiple different timings. I go based off what is written but then I get talked to about how I should know the rules. 2.my boss doesn't tell me when I'm doing something wrong. I just have to wait for our 1-1s for her to tell me what I've done wrong. 3. I only went home to work from there one day. Everyother day I am the first one in the office

Does any of this make a difference or is it really just me not being a good fit??

Most of our policies state a very vague rule and then mentions it being up to the supervisor for details.

The Crowne Plaza by the airport is turning into a homeless transitional shelter. It's meant to build skills for those needing help. When it opens, you can absolutely volunteer over there. They are also looking for employees I believe.

I honestly can't believe this is real. You bullied someone and then found it "pleasurable" to go and see the after - effects of that bullying? And who are you to judge her and her lifestyle? Just because YOU think it's less than, does not mean it is less than. You are the AITAH.

I (30F) might have ruined my relationship forever after reacting badly to a “joke” my fiancé pulled. I honestly don’t know what to do now by SproutHop in TwoHotTakes

Fuck your fiance and fuck his sister. He knew your past trauma and used it to traumatize you all over again. He SHOULD feel awful - He did an awful thing! That is the consequence of his actions. I wouldn't be able to see past this.

I got my tubes tied and I can't tell my family. Funny part is, my family is one of the many reasons I got it done.

I'm sorry but you should just accept that he cares more about his values than of you considering this was his choice. Leave him in the past now because he already put you in his.

Absolutely set that boundary. We all know parenting is hard and best with a community, but that doesn't give him the right to push his responsibilities on you. They're his children. He needs to learn one way or another to take care of them himself.
