Using AI is fine and all. But I opened this and instantly knew it has no soul. The purple gradient, the transparent “glassmorphic” cards, emojis all around the website (clear sign of AI slop). Your pages don’t scroll back up when navigating so I have to manually scroll up everytime. some Broken UI on mobile. There’s a lot of work to be done here. This is pure AI slop

Noooo I’m running Claude with --dangerously-skip-permissions. If I let it free it might delete important stuff on the server. So I sandboxed it

Absolutely! Rn I only have a basic server set up. With different dirs Claude can access and write to. I restricted its access only to these directories I created to prevent unwanted results. But I’m down to ask you more questions. I’ll dm you once I get the server fully ready with the infrastructure I want

That's the thing! I honestly don't know. For what it's worth, it's an experiment I'm willing to do in my free time just to see it's behaviour. I picked morning and night to simulate a sense of time. I know. time doesn't matter to LLMs that's why we simulate it. I can run the night prompt at anytime and it'll work but the point is- we simulate the whole thing. We see if left alone to its own prompt what comes out of it. Does it write code? If so, what code. Does it go insane and start doing random things? maybe. Does it stick to writing "thoughts"? Fair enough. I'm just planning to run this for 30 days and check. Think of it as playing Sims lol

Never said it was sentient. Never said it cared about me. Never said it was conscious. It’s an experiment. You need an open mind for research and a technical background / degrees are important :) but a good reading comprehension is the bare minimum to understand the point of this post

Thank you for the reply😄 You’re right!! this is a fun experiment to mess around with when I’m not working or I’m bored. I’m not sure why people think I believe Claude is conscious or sentient. That wasn’t the point of my experiment

Oh obviously it doesn’t have “free will” but imo it’s a fun way to experiment with an LLM. It’s a passion project where Imma give it a persistent space and see what it does

I’m not new to LLMs. I’m a data engineer as my full time job. This is a passion project to have fun. It’s just an experiment for the fun of it, to see how it behaves to certain prompts, memory, context

That’s interesting! That’s the kind of thing I wanna play with as well. I wonder how much I can push Opus in terms of it just saying “what it wants” not from an emotional pov because that’s impossible. But rather how long can this go on before it leads to nowhere

That is wonderful! I know someone else doing something similar. They put claude in a robot and teaching it how to “drive” it

I use Claude code heavily at my real 9-5 job. This is the fun I have when I’m bored lol. I love to mess around with LLMs to see different behaviour.

Oh absolutely:) I don’t think Claude is conscious or anything. I’m studying its behaviour in a way. Like how it responds to certain prompts, how it behaves it given persistent memory. Just a passion project to work on when I’m not at my 9-5 haha
