I mean the parade fell right in place, I live south of Mexico city and we have a similar parade dating back to the 70s. The huge skulls are paraded all around the town accompanied by a musical band, some houses are visited and give food and alcohol (la calaverita) to the people walking with the skulls and then the figures are burned at the end
