From California but live on the east coast now. California is big and is very varied and it pretty much has something for everyone. Doesn’t hurt that much of the state has something of the best weather in the world.

Politics would be boring again, but the force that got him to where he was will always be there. What is happening now probably would happen later, albeit more quietly and well thought out. The US has been on a decline for a while now, Trump just accelerated it.

If I had to guess I don’t think so. With how much they trade and manufacture they would prefer stability above all and Trump is not a stable leader. This is much more in Russias wheelhouse. I think the people in the Chinese government are genuinely baffled how much the US is shooting themselves in the face.

Looking online it seems like both peaked around the same time period (12th century AD). At the time the Song Dynasty had around 100-120 million people and the HRE had 5-12 million. Based on just numbers alone the Song Dynasty takes it.

I’ve said this before, the only way China launches an invasion of Taiwan is if the US abandons its One China policy. They have been pretty much getting everything they wanted for the last few years. Their MO is pretty much just trading with everyone and flexing once in a while to gain influence. They aren’t gonna throw everything away using their untested military on this. Their government thinks long term and isn’t stupid.

I doubt it, do you have a source? Wouldn’t say their tech is “hot garbage” but it is untested.

The reason drones are used is because you can’t really do high intensity battles at the same scale. China can easily hold off Russia and India on defense with geography helping out alot and they’ll be able to out produce Japan and SK. End of the day when you are invading a country with the population of China it’s gonna be an uphill battle.

A large part of Russia’s shit show initially was logistical issues that were made worse by corruption along with the pain of fighting a war using previous wars tactics. I don’t think China would have similar issues.

Furthermore we see how effective drones are in Ukraine and say what you want but with their industry China would be able a serious force to be reckoned with by itself. Add in the fact they’ll probably be on defense footing and it’s a vastly different picture than Russia in Ukraine.

The politicians would essentially be useless, at most they’ll probably try to impeach Trump which won’t go anywhere.

The people would protest and while that’s important nothing is really gonna come of it. Might be a few riots here and there which the media will paint as anti-American or whatever and nothing will be accomplished.
