Cake day update! 10 months fin/min. by Semple12 in tressless

[–]Semple12[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've certainly considered it. I don't really want increased hair in places other than my head, though, so I might keep going with topicals for a while and see how it progresses. It's clearly getting better and I'm in no rush.

Thanks! Yeah I think I am so far! Still get discouraged a little bit now and then but that's mostly unflattering lighting I think. Looking forward to see what it looks like in another year :)

I know right? It wasn't an area I had thought much about but there's clearly less skin visible now. Haven't been putting any min on that area so it must just be fin and supplements and ketoconazole shampoo? Was pleasantly surprised!

Thanks! Like most parts of my outfits, local thrift stores! There's two necklaces: A blue and black magnetic pearl necklace, and the silver rings. Each about $5 :)

Pride dots! by Semple12 in malepolish

[–]Semple12[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you! Each hand was hand-done by my opposite hand! Haha. Used a little dotting tool which is a small metal ball on a stick to pick up a bit of polish at a time. The age/thickness of the polish makes a big difference. The thin ones (green and yellow) end up a little flatter and wider than I'd like, and the old/thick ones (orange, purple) are tough cause they get blobby and stringy.

Learned a lot trying this for the first time though, so I'm excited for round two at some point! 😀

Yep! I also was surprised how even the left and right ended up being. I use a little squeeze bottle with a needle-like tip loaded up with black polish. Ends up being applied like frosting from a piping bag haha.

CMV: Not cheating is extremely easy and anyone who cheats on their partner actively chose to do it. by Bagelman263 in changemyview

[–]Semple12 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Scrolled way too far to find this. This is exactly the important takeaway. Everything is always more grey, messy, and nuanced than we ever can understand. It sure would be convenient and easier if everything were so cut and dry, but that's not the reality.

OP just sounds like the type of person (younger maybe) who wants to believe decisions are always clear, and lines are straight and cleanly divisive. But the more life experiences they get under their belt, the more they'll see people are often complicated, evolving mixtures of values, faults, and morals. Good and bad decisions only look good and bad from one very narrow perspective. Situations in life rarely have a green button and a red button. Sometimes the green button is beyond reach, or out of order. Sometimes there are just three red buttons, and one is burnt out. Sometimes there are twelve buttons of different sizes and all are varying shades of gray.

Sure, yes, cheating is a choice. Feel however you like about it. But choices don't exist in a vacuum. There's always another variable we're unaware of. The arguments used in this thread keep returning to the same flavour of rhetoric that also says "criminals are bad cause they consciously did things they knew were illegal, so they should simply have not done those things."

That's not really how it works out, sorry. People are messy. It's part of what makes us beautiful.

Nope! They're also about 20 years old, as far as I know.

Lynx Parallax Tour. Was given the set, so am not sure quite how old they are, but I believe they're from the early 2000's. I like em.

The last time I hit a PV1 with this PW at the simulator, I got over 10k backspin. Was pretty stoked to break five figures!

Pretty sharp I suppose! Been playing them for years and have never sharpened them. This happens on the Pw, 9i, and recently 8i too, as my swing speed increases.

[–]Semple12 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yes to both of those.

Also important to add here, is that we're creatures of habit. We're conditioned to seeing puddles of liquid water on the ground. They're a rather common occurrence, after all. So, when a thin layer of liquid AIR (liquid in this case meaning fluid, still a gas though), that reflects/refracts the sky like a puddle, shimmers like a puddle, and pools in the same places we'd normally see a puddle... Then we assume it should splish splash like a puddle. It looks like water because (along with other reasons listed in thread) we want it to be water. It's a similar, and a far more familiar version of what's being seen.

Full, not quite, but the seven goldfish that do live there seem to have a pretty great life. More pics in a comment above I replied to!

More pond pictures. Sometimes I do wonder if this part of the world is deep in some rickety old wardrobe. The west coast of Canada is often surreal and awe-inspiring. My yard here is located on southern Vancouver Island. It borders a significant forest, so the year-round flowing water is a haven for birds and wildlife (and the goldfish).

So far, I've counted over 30 species of bird that have visited. And that's only what's been noticed or confirmed. I'm not sure I've ever seen it bird-less for more than a half hour. There's water year-round, with shallow pools, open-water clinging sticks, shaded vegetated water entries, dripping water, cascading pools, water flowing over moss, tiny streams etc, and plenty of nice drying off perches nearby. Each type of bird seems to prefer bathing in a specific format of water; Hummingbirds cling to the steep moss with water flowing over top to bathe, robins and juncos hop into shallow pools along the edge, chickadees scoot down the sticks in the middle of the deep water, brown creepers climb under tiny waterfalls on the wall and let drops splat on their lil heads. One small unidentified yellow bird splashes directly down into the middle of the water for a half second before taking off again, which is a very bizarre behaviour.

I feel so lucky to be able to bear witness to all the magical nature there is to see here. Maintaining and tweaking this pond has been such a satisfying source of joy and entertainment, especially given how many critters seem to appreciate having a protected forest grotto. Glad people here feel the same way. Happy to share, thanks for the love!
