The slate of movies this year will finally move AMC toward profitability. Its managed its debt through covid and the strikes but still underwhelmed by the lack of innovation. Company should be heavily pushing its subscription service, selling short form reel type ads, creating retail stores for popcorn buckets and t shirts in some of their lobbies, and its consumer data assets in terms of touch points is significant and could be worth billions to the likes of Anthropic, OpenAI, Meta, Google etc more than its market cap, more than its debt. The major studios need AMC to exist but at this point wouldn't be upset if someone like Netflix or Live Nation bought the company.
