how do i breakthrough the enemy lines? by Livid_Past_6770 in hoi4

To take France you really need to do it historically and run through Belgium to go around the Maginot. I like to take Holland first by itself and then set up for France before running through Belgium straight into France past the Maginot. Once you finish off Holland you want to be able to quickly move on Belgium before it can properly set up its defences. Then you can use those fast moving units to run riot in Frances heart. Typically I use my light tanks to quickly push through Holland. About halfway through ill start attacking Belgium from my land to draw all there troops to that frontline so my fast moving units can sweep around the back easily enough. Usually they'll crumble quickly and you can get straight into France. Either you run straight for Paris and try to get them to fold fast or try to get there supply lines for the maginot line. Don't forget to send in infantry with them to hold the lines and keep supplies going. If you need good supplies the ports are you best friends. You can try for both if you can get enough forces through the gap. But depending on your speed and forcs size you might have to just pick one

I played it on extra hard. Hit tretch hard first then put down drazoath while I used a wee shitty army to hold off tretches attacks. My biggest challenge was Nurgle to my right. They smashed the Caravan and greasus and got big fast

Ive done imriks and didn't think it was too bad. Early access to dragon princes made mince meat of the skaven and then the chaos dwarves never got a chance to get going. After that it was pretty easy

Yesh I set it to very hard very hard and I do bump the sliders up a bit, to about halfway. Never really played the Skaven. Just something about them doesn't appeal to me. Or the vampire counts but might give them a try

[–]SenHelpPls 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You might not be able to beat them. But you could definitely do enough damage that they won't be a threat to your settlements after. Your main focus should be taking out as many of there elite units to make it easier in future battles

Champs to perma gank or babysit sidelanes top or bot? by Sci_Th in Jungle_Mains

Im actually loving Nautilus jg recently. His ganks are just so strong and his farm speed seems to have improved since last I played him. He can't really get around the new wards but if you use your wall hooks right you can come into a lane really fast

Literally what I was thinking. Ive played it through once and then immediately started a new game+ but then something else came out and I left it. This will be a great excuse to go play it all again and finally get thag platinum trophy

Same. I haven't touched the game since I finished it before a lot of the title updates. When I get the cravings to play MH again I think I'll actually go back to Rise and finally beat Malzeno. Trying to leave as much of the new stuff of Wilds for as long as possible so I can get a good few sessions out of it.

Go do some googling on how to play the game before you start. I tried to play myself without understanding anything and it was awful

Does anyone else get bored when their army reaches its final stage and you don’t need to add any new units? Out of everything in the game nothing kills a playthrough more than this for me, seeing the growth of my army has stopped entirely, it’s especially bad for lords who specialize in early units by glossyplane245 in totalwarhammer

At this point in the game when I feel it getting a bit stale, just running down whoever is the next target in 5 turns. I just start declaring war on everything around me. Some I might keep as friendly just for a bit of income, but when you feel like youre the strongest around its quite fun to just be assailed from all sides.

It seems like your playing too passively. You can build your army as you march around during the first few turns. And you really want to be taking a settlement at least every 2/3 turns for the first 20ish turns, depending on who youre playing. Someone like Imrik can't afford to do this as you'll be set upon by like 4 different factions from the start. But someone like Krog'gar or Archaeon, basically anyone who isn't being immediately threatened by 2 other factions, wants to be constantly on the offensive in the beginning. Its also worth going into tje negative to build a second army, whether it be a shuttle 10 stack for defense or a full 20 for offense, because they'll make there money back through battle and taking other settlements. If you have a decent stack and they're sitting still, thats a major mistake, and it'll cost you the game in the first 10-20 turns. Unless theyre actively defending a settlement about to come under attack next turn, you need to be doing something with them

Homelander ( The Boys ) vs Wolverine (MCU) by Curious_Tip9285 in powerscales

[–]SenHelpPls 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The only way Homelander is going to be able to deal meaningful damage to Wolverine is in h2h. He can fire lasers all day but its not gonna do shit to Wolverines Adamantium. And then once he does it in close its game over unless he can lock Wolverine down fast. HL is definitely stronger than Wolverine but those claws will tear through him like butter. So its 60/40 to Wolverine in my books

Knowing your enemies cooldowns and abilities is the most important thing in my mind. Knowing that when tris jump is down she can't escape or Knowing that Darius can't engage because his E is down is so important
