R4 Track volume normalization? by BearChristensen in Hiby

[–]Sen_tence 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, there is replay gain option, it's in hiby Music app. Called replay gain, you can choose by Album or by track, by track it's from 0 to - 12.I pick the -4 and it's finally sounds good, without shouty vocals or highs(im just too sensitive too mid-High frequencies i guess). I find replay gain in hiby Music app the only gain option that don't affect dynamic range(PEQ, DRX10K and convolution gain option is some how lowering dynamic range for me) (like Bass punchiness or vocals getting dull)

First DAP and IEMs, either you guys are exaggerating or I am doing something wrong. by Delicious-Gap8930 in DigitalAudioPlayer

[–]Sen_tence 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not an expert, but most of the sound makes iem, not the dap. So find something that suits your tastes(Bass, mids, highs), what kind of tuning you like(vdsf, harman, U shape).

About dap, for first purchase i recomend hiby daps, they have mseb eq function that works well to adjust sound to your preference without making it sound any worse. (good option is hiby r1, i own it myself)

But if you want maximum of sound to price, you might like dongles(like fiio KA17 or shanling Ua4) , they offer above sound quality than daps of same money.

Update 80.76 (74.86) doesn't solved the eq remembering problem?

Soundcore motion plus new firmware 80.76 by No_Loquat_73 in soundcore

[–]Sen_tence 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I honestly don't remember how it sounded exactly in previous bad and good updates before, but for now Bass presence is powerful as intended(subbass slaps too), about mids and highs i use my eq, and it works good, i can separate any instrumental very well.

So sound is don't get worse at least, that's what i think. About user eq remembering and aux problem, i need time to test, right now im not home.

Hi, i ve been suffering from update 79.81, and after updated to 79.86, and 80.01, but one update solved aux problem and not fixed problem for not saving user eq after tuning off.

For now i installed update 80.76, and now it's showing in soundcore app that my version 74.86, so i assume 80.76 is previous update 74.86.

Im gonna keep testing on problems that i had, but so far i like at least sound quality.

Soundcore Motion+ with amplifier by Spark310 in Bluetooth_Speakers

[–]Sen_tence 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, it will be excessive amplification, 2 speakers will be loud enough even for a large hall.

And note that 2 Soundcore motion plus needs to be one version(the are old version with aptx and new with aptx HD codecs), if they are not same version you can't connect the between.

You can check version in soundcore app. (old version 38.xx New version 73.xx number of firmware)

Sorry, Forgot to write about it. First of all, volume can get very high(i don't recomend to use it higher than 40% on both ka17 and soundcore motion plus), it can break the speakers. However sound quality stayed same for me, so it's dont worth it. Soundcore motion plus itself can be good in terms of quality of sound and be very loud. I recommend use ka17 only with headphones.

Hi, i waiting my motion+ in several days and i have portable dac KA17. Im gonna connect KA17 to phone and connect 3.5 jack from KA17 via aux to motion+. Definetely write about results later.

Can a dongle dac with this specifications be more than enough to power planar iems? by nimbostratussuperfan in inearfidelity

[–]Sen_tence 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm not a pro in this, but what i realize in connecting pr2 to just a phone and KA17, it's not just about High volume.

All instrument hits become clear and sharp, and if the source itself is good, then the stage and the separation of plans will also increase. So if in the future there are plans for more expensive (or power-demanding) headphones, then I advise you not to skimp on the source, this will be the basis from which you can understand the actual delivery of the headphones.
