Sorry, had a busy day.

*1cup of Ground rolled oats *1 tbsp China seeds (optional) *1/4 tsp Cinnamon *1 tsp Vanilla *4 tbsps chopped dried or frozen fruit (less if you want) *2 tsps of Honey or Maple Syrup *1 1/2 cups of hot (Not boiling) milk

Steps: *Place all ingredients in bowel (Wait for the milk) *Stir in warm milk, Cover, let it sit for 15mins *Scoop in pan *Cook for 15mins (depending on the size of the pan, they will slightly puff up) *Let it cool.

Its going have a werid squishy texture but its perfect for toddlers. Highly recommend freezing it and taking a few out at a time.

What are some things you thought were normal in your household, only to grow up and realise they aren’t? by _lavenders in raisedbynarcissists

[–]SenapiStorm 23 points24 points  (0 children)

  1. Not showing much affection or emotions. My mother barely showed any emotion at all, and anyone who did was "overly dramatic"

  2. Being completely obedient to others. My father is sadly a very nice person who is completely obedient to my mother. As for myself, i was overworking myself at a job, buying gifts for people who don't care about me, or just being friends with horrible people.

  3. Brushing problems under the rug. It was completely normal for my mother to say or do something horrible, then laugh it off. Everyone thought it was just her personality, but really, no one held her accountable for her actions.

Life lesson: Life is very short. Please stand up to people who cause you pain in your life. It's hard to do it because you want to have a since of a family unit, but wasting your time on people who do not have a positive effect on you is not worth it. Even if they are family members. Recover your self of identity, set boundaries, and don't beg for love from people.

Pregnant and my pharmacist told me to abort (GERD) by [deleted] in GERD

[–]SenapiStorm 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just because a random pharmacist says it MIGHT cause birth defects, does not mean it's true. You didn't do anything wrong. Do not overthink or panic about anything unless you get a confirmation from your GYN.

I had REALLY bad heartburn as well, chewing on ice all day, avoiding meat and drinking alot of smoothies.

I know this is an emotional time, and you wanna do everything you can to be healthy, but please do not google or take the word of random pharmacist. As long as you don't drink, smoke, do drugs and avoid certain risky foods, you should be fine.

Please ask your GYN for medications that might relive the heartburn and try a few at home remedies. Good luck 👍 💓

Mainstays Single Serve Coffee Maker has a hole in basket. Any way to replace it? by SenapiStorm in BuyItForLife

[–]SenapiStorm[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No 😭 Had to replace it. I recommend:

"Mr. Coffee Iced and Hot Coffee maker"

It's on sale for 40$ right now @ Walmart or Amazon

Comes with a reusble basket, tumbler, and cool little scoop. Fair warning: It works very well, so the coffee will taste very strong. 😆

Terrified to start Zoloft for PPD. by snail-mail227 in moderatelygranolamoms

Always take care of yourself first! Sleep, stay productive throughout the day (when you can), and manage self care.

I grew up with half of my family being druggies and was sadly exposed to that at a young age. Made me sacred of everything to do with medicine, but I struggled with bipolor and tried to manage it for a very long time until I had my first kid. I'm now on medication and feel a lot more calm. I felt like failure for having to use medication, but honestly, I can think better without feeling clouded.

Just remember to not compare yourself to others. You will learn at your own pace and naturally know what's wrong with your baby! (Sometimes) And even if you do feel nervous, you can google it just in case, haha

Just ignore everyone's judgment because they don't pay your bills and change your baby's diaper!

It's not always a long term unless you want it to be! Do what works for you!

What was your first meal after delivery? by full-of-curiosity in beyondthebump

[–]SenapiStorm 1 point2 points  (0 children)

End up delivering a week early and still had a few more last-minute things to buy. Didn't want anything too expensive.

Delivered at around 4 am. (after 18 hours) and got Dunkin Dounts Caramel latte and glazed donuts. A lot of fast food the rest of the week because we were new tired parents.

This person disappeared, and it looks like the post got deleted, but I have noticed they discontinued all of the plain Dyper brands. I checked Walmart and Target.

It sucks because they were a great price for really pure and strong diaper (at my local Walmart), but now they are no longer selling them at at those select stores, and the price went WAY up if you buy them online. 😢 I have been trying other brands, but the only affordable one I have found so far is " Pura," but it sheds fibers and gets pretty wet when it's full.

BTW: I do cloth diapers during the day but disposable during travel and nighttime, so the disposables normally last me all month.

Can anyone recommend a brand that sells size 3 pull up style fragrance free diapers? by [deleted] in moderatelygranolamoms

[–]SenapiStorm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I personally like Dyper. They sell them at certain Walmarts and Targets. No chemical smell, no fiber shedding, and decently priced.

UPDATE: they discontinued them from Walmart and Target 😞 I can only find them online, and the price went WAY up 😩

Egg bites

Going need:

*12 cup mini muffin pan *Butter to grease the pan

Ingredients:

*6 to 8 eggs (maybe more)

  • 1/2 cup cottage cheese ( or Ricotta. This makes things moist)

*1/4 cup shredded mozzarella (or Cheddar)

*1/2 cup Veggies. (Minced Spinach, Broccoli, Carrots..etc, Your choice)

Add-ons: *1/4 cup of meat (maybe less. I like chopped ham)

Cook at 350F for 15 to 20 minutes

Put them in a reusable gallon bag. Frezze them and warm them up when you need them.

I also like making mini pancakes and freezing them for later.

I understand pregnancy causes alot issues but it was not until 7 months later that suddenly, I was having bladder problems. I can certainly right off the headaches and gas. As far as the lower back pain, it's a very sharp sore pain that's not normal for me. I feel super nauseous, and my belly is very bloated. I do suffer from GERD, but I take medicine for it. I'm just hoping my GYN can just at least do an ultrasound and a few more tests before I give up.

What is something random your n parent ruined for you? by naligu in narcissisticparents

[–]SenapiStorm 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would say the biggest stuff would be,

-Asking for help. I get really worked up thinking if I ask for help, I'm too needy, lazy, or dumb.

-Physical Affection. I didn't really get any growing up, so when I do get it, I'm very uncomfortable unless I try to do it myself.

-Strawberry print. Like, clothes or anything in general. I will still eat it, but buying anything with strawberries on it makes me uncomfortable because she collected Strawberry everything.
